this is last minute, but we're going to be the cause of the month at Democracy Burlesque, a local variety show/revue/cabaret centered around left/progressive themes. there won't be the striptease burlesque that many of you are familiar with, but they put on a good show.
Tuesday June 12
$10 (or what you can afford)
8pm at the No Exit Cafe
6970 N Glenwood, Chicago, IL
(just off the Morse stop of the Red line)
they'll be giving us a cut of the door, so the more the merrier, and the more we can improve our budget for Think GalactiCon. some of us will be there to hand out lit and take any new registrations. this is a bit on the "last minute" side, but then, we only just got this last night.
spread the word! it's not spamming if it's for a good cause, right?
out-of-towners: holler at any of your Chicago people! make them attend as your proxy!
