A plein-air painter, Mr. Elemore Morgan Jr. worked on large, shaped masonite canvases.
Note his use of two easels above.

I was fortunate enough to have enrolled in Mr. Morgan's drawing classes (which is what he taught) at USL.
He could draw incredibly realistically and shared his techniques for all types of drawing.
He was my greatest art teacher and mentor.

He was the epitome of the consummate master artist.

Mr. Morgan took me "under his wing" in school, as he did with many of his special students through the years. He refused to let me "thank him for teaching me how to draw" --but instead pointed out that I'd had it in me all the while, he'd only tried to bring out my ability to see. He was the most talented, hardworking and kindest of all teachers I ever had the honor to study with.
