i got a job
as a part time administrative assistant for a couple of chiropractors running a holistic health care center for $8/hr, mon-thurs 1:30-6pm and alternating saturday mornings 8:15-noon, 20 miles from my house in La Grange
it's not a great job but it is A job, and that has to be good enough
and, are you ready to laugh?
the best perk is that they share office space with a women's fitness center so i get a free membership which means that i will finally be able to shower every day!!!
because we still dont have a shower in our house
and i am ridiculously excited about being able to shower before work
and its not a locker room
its like a super fancy spa with individual showers with super fancy shower heads and granite tile and they provide clean towels
so i have to work out every day before work
or at least pretend to
so i can justify showering there
its almost like i'm homeless
like will smith in that one movie
except i dont have a black son
you can't always get what you want...
but if you try, sometimes you just might find you get what you need?
