My birthday weekend was AMAZING.
We went to Fort Bragg, and it was absolutley beautiful. The crew consisted of me, elyse, amanda, ashlee, Nick and Greg. Sunday was my 19th birthday and Nick's 23rd so we had a double bash.
We got to the beach real late, around midnight on Friday night. We hauled our shit and set up camp in the dark, built a fire and got trashed all night. There was drums and didges and dancing and everything in between
Saterday we woke up and spent most of the day playing at the beach, making sand art, building sand castles, playing drums to the waves, Nick fished...and of course there was plenty of smoke and booze. later in the afternoon, we all went into town to get food, more booze, and a barbaque. We ended up spending about 3 hours doing god knows what in town. We got back, attempted to make some dinner (turned out nasty) and continued the party.
I smoked wayyy to much and couldnt keep my eyes open so I went into the tent around 11 to sleep for a little bit but as soon as I had layed down I hear everyone yelling my name and telling me to get my ass up. Turns out CLAY and a couple of his friends showed up looking for "Kari's camp" ha, I had left a message earlier telling him we were gonna be there but I definately didnt think he'd actually show up. It was pretty cool....I ended up staying up all god damn night instead. At midnight we all screamed and sang for Nick and I's birthday. Clay and I went to check out the ocean and it was filled with these little glowing balls. We had no idea what they were so I got really excited and without thinking, scooped one up. I kept it in my hand for a while, then took it to the fire to see what it was. When I got it to the light i instanly threw it down. it was a fucking JELLY FISH! thats right, I picked up a god damn jelly fish. I'm so glad it didnt sting me. moron....

So Sunday is when the trip really turned from fun to AMAZING. Clay had to leave before noon but gave us directions to this place he said we had to check out. So we follow his directions...and HOLEY FUCKING SHIT. seriously, theres no way I am going to try to explain what this place is like with words. It is the most beautiful and special and magical place that I have ever seen. You walk through this cemetary and all of a sudden you stumble upon this MASSIVE hole in the terrain with a perfect circular sandy beach at the bottom. There are ropes you have to use to get down to the beach. It is amazing. Your surrounded by massive walls of plush green and flowers. and there is a cave that goes all the way out to the ocean where the waves coming crashing in bring cool shells and abalone. everything there was so magical, we spent about 2 hours there just loving everything. It was by far THE BEST birthday present I think I will ever get.

alright, that's it for now. Friday I am off to the High Sierra Music Festival for 4 days and 3 nights of camping and live music and dancing and everything else festivals bring.
