I got an email today saying that if I could have a script ready in ten days, then I could probably get it performed, and direct it, at Bellarmine. As a one act. Not a short, a full act.
Which means I had to call Kelly and Matt and say, "You remember Broken Iris from like three years ago? Remember how we could never figure out what to do with it past the first act? Let's come up with a bunch of stuff in ten days, then cut most of it out and have it performed at Bellarmine."
They're excited, I'm nervous. If I can't finish it, I'll spend hours in the bathroom pouring water over myself (still clothed) and weeping. If I can finish it I'll be too distracted from the book. That needs to be done post haste asap now.
I also spent the night at Cityscoot with every part of me suddenly in sharp pain like a million stabbeys laughing at my every joint. It may be a flu or flu like death. Or a cold.
I also made a mix CD for Justin and Patrick's Mix CD Exchange Party/House Warming Party. I've mixed a bunch of stuff that kinda defies genre but almost all of it is techno based.
I called it "Synthesissy"
It goes like this:
"Introducing Foxy" - Foxy Shazam
"Laser Life" - The Blood Brothers
"Extraordinary Machine" - Fiona Apple
"60 Revolutions" - Gogol Bordello
"I Hate Jimmy Page" - Mindless Self Indulgence
"For the Wars" - Clinic
"The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song (With All Your Powers)" - The Flaming Lips
"Future Was Free" - Tub Ring
"The French Passion of Animality Opera" - Foxy Shazam
"The Equalizer" - Clinic
"Paranoiattack" - The Faint
"Tymps (The Sick in the Head Song)" - Fiona Apple
"Goodbye Stranger" - Supertramp
"Trash Flavored Trash" - The Blood Brothers
"Like Shit" - Mindless Self Indulgence
"Let's Spend the Night Together" - David Bowie
"Birth" - The Faint
"The Way to Mars" - Tub Ring
