I've been watching my Led Zeppelin DVD all day today. It's so great (Alex you rock). It's really strange how they perform. Jimmy Page kinda stands in one spot barely moving. Sometimes he gets a little into it and will lift his knee up. It's just weird because he is playing these awesome songs on his guitar, and he's barely moving, just his fingers are going crazy and that's about it. Robert Plant is always wearing his low rise, ass tight pants, and he kind of hops around on stage. He looks really drugged up. Jon Bonham is always moving his lips while he's rocking out on the drums. At first I thought he was singing along, but then I noticed that he does it even during the guitar and drum solos. He might be counting the beat? Then, unfortunately John Paul Jones is almost never filmed. He wears these cool funky looking coats though. I would give up my right arm (and yes, I'm right handed) to see Led Zeppelin in concert. I wish that was possible. I know this professor who has seen them live in their 1977 tour and I'm so incredibly jealous! He said that Bonham went on a fifty minute drum solo, but after a while it got kind of old because he would wait a minute between each beat. I would still be entertained. Here's some pictures of the gods of rock:
Snowboarding was really fun. I got only 3 hours of sleep before I went so I slept on the bus ride there (which is good, because it was a 3 hour bus ride). The slopes and the snow on Mt. Bachelor's were awesome, and much better than Hood. There wasn't very much snow compared to other years, though. My knee is all bruised now because I fell on a really icy patch of snow on them. Then, just two minutes later, I fell on them again, this time so hard it bounced me backwards onto my back. At one point I was on a really steep, icy spot and I fell on my ass and slid down the mountain for a really long time. I was going too fast to stop myself, so I just kept going. It was hilarious. Hasan and Paul, being the drunks that they are, brought some Irish Cream, Brandy, and something else, and so we drank on the ski lift. It was a really good way to keep ourselves warm! I'm going to snowboard again once more this winter, and I can't wait.
Hasan, me, and Paul. This is the only picture I took because I didn't want to ruin my camera by taking it with me on the slopes.
