I know what you mean. I remember being in a "financial fitness" class a while back at work. These people were complaining about how broke they are, how they're living paycheck to paycheck...yet when asked about the bills, they have cell phones (and not the cheap ones), cable, etc. I told the guy next to me he should cut off cable and he looked at me like I was crazy
( ... )
Meh. People are brats. I guess that is no worse than the people who constantly complain about how broke they are, yet spend tons of money on music, clothing, computers, etc. It's all about priorities. I mean, that is nice that her parents are supporting them both, but what's their incentive to change?
I knew a girl who begged me for $20 for gas one night...felt bad for her since she was in a rough spot, so I lent her the $20. She did the same thing again a few weeks later and I hesitantly gave in again. Then I saw pictures of her online from during those weeks and she was talking about how she was going out to clubs to dance and drink, and she even got a tattoo. So I made her pay me back immediately and told her never to ask me for money again. People are creeps.
