There are so many things that center on that one night, their last night on earth. Well, Dean and Anna’s last night on earth, because at that point Castiel hadn’t betrayed the Will of Heaven.
And of all those things, very few of them have to do with the sex, something Castiel is still uncomfortable thinking about. It’s more about two humans accepting their fate and choosing each other in defiance. It’s more about the connection that reached even to his still heart.
Because when Anna put her hand to Dean’s shoulder, Castiel felt it like a bolt of lightning.
