I ran over a bird today driving home... It was really awful... It just flew out in the middle of the road and I just barely noticed it before... Apparently hollow bones crunch really loudly when shattered. And the car just kept going, like nothing had happened...
Ugh. Maybe I'm thinking about this too much.
On another, lighter, note, I saw Brokeback Mountain over the weekend. I liked it. There were a few discontinuity things that made me sad a little, but overall, it was really good. Ennis fills me with love. (I would insert a heart here, but I don't know how *N00B!*). I really wish good movies could have happy endings. I really wanted to see them settle onto a ranch in the middle of nowhere. It would have been too adorable for words.
Unfortunately, Lee and Neji have decided they would be perfect in a plot like this and are trying to make me DO RESEARCH so I can apply it to samurai era Japan. Guh.
On an even lighter note, the plot bunnies informed me that if Rorschach had been born in the late eighties/early nineties he would be flamingly homosexual. And thus Fabulous Walter is born.
Here's the first line of the fic I may or may not write:
'The year is 1985 and today a baby has been born. His name is Walter Joseph Kovacs. He has red hair and freckles and is smaller then the doctors expected.'
Okay, the first few lines. Whatever. And WOW isn't it bland?! I kind of like the idea of him growing up in Veidt's Utopia, just for the total Twilight Zone effect. Hmm. If I manage to pull off OOC!IC Rorschach it might be the most epic thing I've ever written...
