Even though I'm still working on the "Singin' In The Rain" book from the library, I decided "Why not read some of the books I have here around the house?" Many of them I tried to read years ago and never got through for one reason or another. Time has passed and I might feel differently about them now.
So I dug out 3 paperback novels. It would've been a few more, but I could only reach these few. :P
Anyway, I've started reading "What Dreams May Come" by Richard Matheson. I saw the Robin Williams film when it came out, which is why I bought the book way back in 1998. It's been so long since I saw it that I really don't recall a lot of it and I think I can now read the book with fresh eyes, so to speak. As I remember when I first tackled the book, I kept comparing it to the movie too much and was disappointed that it didn't match.
I'm already through the first 2 chapters.
I guess it's the start of summer that's brought on this urge to read some fiction. As many of you know, I really don't read fiction anymore. Used to, but since getting into filmmaking, all my reading has been about that. I've re-read a lot of the SPN fanfiction I've got printed up and I've been itching for something new. Don't know why I think I have time to spare for reading, but there it is.
I've updated my Books & Movies post accordingly:
