This Week In TV: Series Roundup II

Apr 21, 2010 12:55

Been a while since I checked in about the series I'm watching. ;)

Dancing With The Stars:
I didn't have much hope for this season when the list of "celebrities" first came out, but I'm a such a fan of the show that I've stuck it out anyway. Gotta say I was ecstatic that Kate Gosslin was eliminated last night! Woot! My reasons: 1) She can't dance, 2) She showed no energy or motivation to learn or even perform the dances, 3) She complains about the media attention while she's putting out a book and starting up yet another reality TV series. So glad to have her gone. Shame that some promising dancers got booted off before her....like Aiden and Shannon. I've been voting since Week 2 and I'm thinking Evan and Nicole are definitely going to end up in the finals.

Castle:
Still loving this show! Some episodes are little on the lackluster side for my taste and I get bored, but for the most part the series is excellent. I do hope the producers don't stretch out the UST between Castle and Beckett too long. I know they don't want anything to develop too soon, but you can also kill a show by making fans wait forever.

Lost:
I'm with this show from beginning to end, but I'm still not happy with the lack of answers from week to week. It's frustrating! There aren't that many episodes left. When are we finally going to learn the whole truth???? Meanwhile, I thank the show for the eye candy that is Josh Holloway. *g* Put him in a black leather jacket or no shirt at all, anytime you like! Though I do miss Sawyer being his old self....same for Sayid. *sigh* Totally ga-ga for Desmond, too. It's the accent. *swoons* And dammit....is Claire crazy or what? I wanna like her again, but she's creeping me out. Btw, the Sun/Jin reunion last night? Perfect! *happy sigh* :)

Parenthood:
Really caught up in this show and I think I can now watch it without thinking it's some quasi-spin off from Gilmore Girls. LOL It's like Lauren Graham will always be Lorelei Gilmore to me. :P Can't help it. But she's very impressive in this new series...the whole cast is.

Survivor:
I'm sad some of my favorite players have been voted off already....like Tom, Coach, and even Boston Rob. I hope Colby can tough it out for a while yet. On the other hand WTH is going on with JT? He used to be a good guy and now he's double crossing his alliances left and right. Then there's his whole dumb move involving giving the immunity idol to Russell! WTH???? Like Russell needs help???? Sheesh. Btw, can't wait for Russell to be kicked off next. Yes, he can play the game, but he's got an ego the size of Texas. He's gotta go. Time for people to wake up and see how manipulative he really is.

Fringe:
Great to have this show back after that long hiatus. Looking forward to when Peter finally learns the truth about himself. How will it effect him? Will he be furious at Walter? Will it upset his relationship with Olivia? Meanwhile, the show as a whole just keeps on delivering. So happy they were picked up for another season. :)

The Vampire Diaries:
I sometimes miss little bits of this show from week to week, but I can still manage to keep up with everything that's going on. Really enjoying the interaction between Elena and Damon this season. It's fun. I miss Bonnie. What happened to her? And poor Carolyn...I feel for her.

Supernatural:
Can't believe there's only 4 episodes left of the season???? Where did the time go? I still need to do my big theory/speculation post. I hope Cas returns and can I say I already miss Zachariah? He was bad, but oh, so much fun to watch! :P

The Amazing Race:
Totally pulling for Jet and Cord, the cowboy brothers. Whoo-hoo! Those guys are cute and smart! I really hope they win. So happy Brandy & Carol are gone at long last. Sheesh. What a couple of bitches. Nothing but fighting and complaining the whole way.

Legend Of The Seeker:
There have been some amazing episodes this season. I look forward to this series every weekend. The past couple of eppies have been a little so-so, but I'm sure they'll return to the great ones soon. Nice seeing Cara grow into a likable character.

Lie To Me:
Ugh. This show's been on hiatus since....forever? It'll return in June but will it be too late? I've heard it's already on the chopping block and we all know how fickle Fox is. It's a shame because I really enjoy this series and it deserves better treatment than this. :(
