This Week In TV: Legend Of The Seeker, TAR, & DWTS
I can see now where I'm incapable of making these posts every day or even every week. Let's just say I'll post when I can or when I have something to say about the shows I've watched.
Legend Of The Seeker:
Finally this show is back! The season premiere was pretty interesting, with a rift opening in the ground, allowing a path between the world and the underworld. I really liked the depiction of the underworld, too. Very much what I would imagine hell to be. Apparently Darken Rahl has made a deal and he's going to be wreaking more havoc on Richard & his friends. The revelation of the connection between the two of them was great! I never saw that coming. I fear for Richard. He seems headed down the path Shota warned Zed about. Eeep. The second episode was okay, but not as good as the start of the second season. Not sure I care for the new hairdo & beard on Craig Horner, but I suppose I'll get used to it.
The Amazing Race:
I had a feeling that father & son team weren't going to be able to make up their last place finish from last weekend, and sadly, I was right. Shame. I liked them, but someone has to go. Sucks how the teams start off and then always end up in the same place, waiting for a plane or something else and everyone's even. What's the point of having a lead anymore? Still pulling for the Globetrotters. Those dudes are pretty cool.
Dancing With The Stars:
Last night was the big Semi-Final with the remaining 4 couples each performing 3 dances (a first for the show). Though their 3rd dance was their short, elimination dance, so they barely get started before they end. So it was more like 2 and a half dances. It's so hard to vote now, everyone's so good.
Here's my notes for each couple on their dances:
Donny & Kym:
Tango - Mistakes (he got tangled in her dress....ooops), awkwardly danced
Samba - Awesome! Bouncy, Fun. :)
Jitterbug - Fun! Great Job!
Joanna & Derek:
Vienesse Waltz - Very pretty, but some hesitations on her footwork near the end.
Cha Cha - Sexy & Fun!
Salsa - Hot & Sexy!
Kelly & Louis:
Rumba - Romantic and sexy. I liked it.
Quickstep - Not my favorite because of the music, but she did a good job.
Cha Cha - Cute.
Mya & Dmitry:
Waltz - Lovely & Smooth!
Salsa - Wild & Sexy!
Cha Cha - Saucy! I liked it!
I really wish they could all take home the trophy. They're all very good in their own way. I had 5 votes and I ended up giving 3 of them to Donny because I'm worried he won't make it to the final with the low score on his first dance. I then gave my other 2 votes to Joanna and to Mya. I think Kelly is great and has made a lot of progress, but of everyone she's my least favorite (by a small margin). She still questions herself sometimes and it shows up in the dances. But when she's on, she's wonderful! *sigh* Tonight's results show is going to be tough.
