I am guessing that canon is now that reapers are a type of angel--recall the reaper earlier in the season who slept with Cas and then Dean killed her with the angel blade and she died in a light-up like the angels do?

Man, a lot happened in this episode--I needed your recap to remember all of it!

It's good to know that I'm not the only one totally confused by the Tessa thing because she is a reaper so why would she even be brought into this. And an angel blade can kill a reaper? Did I miss something in the lore?

Other than that bit of confusion, I enjoyed the episode. I'm with you Dean all amped up on the Mark of Cain is kinda hot. He's out of control and dangerous. I fear for those who get in his way!

It's also nice to see Sam and Cas share some scenes together. I loved the shout out to "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade".

I've managed to stay spoiler free so I really wonder how they're going to leave us hanging this year. I keep thinking that Sam saying that he wouldn't have saved Dean during their fight mid-season will come into play. I think that Sam is going to end up saving Dean somehow and he'll have to make a difficult choice to do so. That's just my theory.

In Deans words which we haven't heard much lately that was awesome. I mean Jensen is just rocking it out of the park. And this dark stuff has been in him since we first met him. I mean he liked hunting things; killing the bad stuff for what he thought was keep families safe. I always think with Dean he has had this darkside in him. I mean he fit into jail; he liked killing things that were evil. He thought purgatory was pure and he started on the souls in hell which I think he never fully recovered from and I think when he started loosing those close to him like Ellen, Jo, Bobby, charlie, Garth, Benny, Kevin and almost lost Sam to death and Cas to be human its like the breaking point for him. I mean his life was just ripped apart and the fact that Cain thought he was just like him is scary cause Dean is nothing like him the mark is making him more like him. But I find it funny that Dean has had this mark since Sam and Dean got back together yet Sam has never looked it up all he has done is been afraid to watch Dean die and he might be ( ... )

something that bothered me while watching this episode: Dean is so powerful to kill Abadon, but a few angels can restrain him ?! and why did they let Metatron blabber and didn't call him on his lies ?! Cas could have told everybody how that bastard stole his grace, for example !!!

Metatron's fixation with the trenchcoat was LOLarious. :D

He's even got a bloody nose. These angels are rough!

And he's holding his side, so maybe he was really resisting and there indeed are 10 other guys in worse shape than him.

Then Dean goes over and sits down to have a nice chat with Cas like he didn't just spit all that venom onto his brother 10 seconds ago.

To me it feels like Dean can act normal (well, mostly normal, maybe just a bit colder version of himself), but when he gets angry, the MoC intensifies it ten-fold. And Sam tried to take the Blade from Dean, so obviously Sam's a mean poopyhead as far as the MoC is concerned.
