Rarely am I so happy to see CLAMP change their schedule - now we've got two holic chapters promised to us in the next three weeks! Let's hope they keep to it. ^_^
Anyway, while Kohane-related plot uncertainties keep me stalled on that big project, I've given in and turned out a third part of the Superhero!Watanuki AU, so here are links back to

I'd quote everything that was great about this, but ahahaha, it'd be the whole thing! Just know that I loved it all, and that you are fantastic!
I-I would love to see Doumeki angst after a particularly nasty run-in with a monster, and Watanuki griping at him from the hospital bed/the sidewalk that he's angsting for the wrong reasons. Because Watanuki puts the M in Martyr

What, Doumeki? Angsting? I don't know what you're talking about.

It fits better than you'd think, huh? *g* Somehow that all just fell into place once Watanuki's superpowers had been established - their roles are practically reversed, and yet the way they relate stays the same. Glad you enjoyed it. ^_^

On Watanuki, spandex just made people want to give him a sandwich.
*is rolling on the floor laughing* Oh dear... XD
Watanuki’s helpless cries of “Couldn’t you have shown up earlier?” at the thing were rudely ignored.
Wahahahaha Damn you're killing me! XD What a delightful AU indeed! Thank you so much!

Oh, makes you worry a lot, doesn't it? XD It's not going to get any easier for poor Watanuki from here. Whole new universe, but his job is just as much of a nightmare as ever. Glad you enjoyed it so much. ^__^

Me! Me! I'd be interested. (Err, did you ever settle on a superhero name?)
I will confess to wondering if Yuuko slipped any yaoi manga into the stack of superhero comics -- but watching Doumeki learn the tropes of his new life had me in stitches. And his total disinterest in being a martyr was refreshing. No doubt very educational for Watanuki.
Lines that really made me laugh:
“Your lunch?” echoed Yuuko. “Oh, a certain sign of supervillainry, that one.”
“Meaning it truly is his nature to attract those very monsters that it is your own destiny to defeat!” Yuuko declared, leaping to her feet for emphasis and forcing Watanuki to stumble a nervous pace backwards. “Henceforth, I do predict that any that should set foot in our fair city shall surely be driven to target him alone.” ...posing Yuuko always makes me happy.
Watanuki was sure the answer to at least one of those had to be ‘yes’ if there was any ( ... )

Cool. ^_^ I sortofmaybe don't want to add to anyone's WIP lists when I know they're that long already, but if people wanted to write for it - well, you know. ^^; (Um, well, about that.... >.>)

Just a lot about the importance of heroics (and maybe the power of love as an inspirational force to the heroes) and Doumeki's imagination filled in the blanks. Honestly, even if I'm not going to continue this world, writing it so far has been awesome fun. I get to mix up Watanuki's world and the cliche Superhero world all at once! ^_ ( ... )
