A little later than I was aiming for, but the tutorial people have asked for on how I made my Kudakitsune is done at last.

Oooooh! Thank you so much! Now I can really make a pipe fox to go along with my Watanuki costume! *bounce* (And gods, am I glad you're using m and cm; the american inches and yards always confuse me to no end. *g*)

Happy to help! Ooh, a Watanuki costume? There will be photos when you're done, yes? (Metric measurments FTW! I'm Australian, so believe me, all those messy inches and yards make no more sense to me than the rest of the metric world)

Not a problem, and good luck with making your own. ^_^ Really, finding the materials is the most time consuming part. Actually making this guy took about two evenings of not particularly intensive work, with turning it inside out taking the longest. Once you've got that bit done it's pretty much all downhill.

Yeah, I already tried looking for suitable fur and was quite disappointed with what I managed to find >_< And I haven't seen wire like this anywhere... Gotta try harder I guess XD Thank you again!

I really lucked out on the fur. It had to help that I've been into cosplay long enough that I can list five fabric shops near our house without even thinking, but finding perfect stuff in stock in one of the first places I looked was still something to be greatful for. I reckon white fur would look fine as well (I've been thinking of making one or two out of white as manga-style-kudakitsunes if I get around to making more), but even that's not always easy to find.

About the wire - it finally occurred to me to google 'bonsai wire' to check, and it does look like it's standard stuff, so if you can track down anywhere selling bonsai supplies, that's definitely where to look. Online shops like ebay are bound to have it too, though I always treat anything I have to order in as a last resort.
