I feel so organized this year. It's not even December and I'm sending out holiday cards already. Usually they go out around the 18th. *g* Of course, I haven't even started shopping yet, so it's a false sense of organization.
Reminder: I have lots of cards left! So far I'm sending out just over two boxes, and way under three. So please
go here to give me your address if you haven't already, and you want a card. Comments are screened.
The manager at one of our plants left a couple weeks ago, and the company made one of the employees there the new manager. Well, the old manager did everything himself, and didn't bother to teach the new manager anything, and that plant is now, at end of month, a disaster. The company has decided they need a full month of babysitting. I get to go tomorrow, and one day next week, and maybe a few more days later in the month. So now my end of month is going to be screwy because I'm babysitting them, and oh yeah, did I mention the plant I'm visiting is 100 miles away from here? Yay for long commutes!
But they're paying me from when I leave home to when I get home, so it's good on the overtime front. Add in the fact that one of our dispatchers is gone this week, that I'm helping out with another plant's quarterly inventory this weekend, that we have a "communication" meeting between the yard guys and the office people next weekend, and that we have our inventory the weekend after that, and... yay! Christmas shopping money! I love it when I get extra work in December.
