I know... this is my favorite part...

"I didn't expect all of this with the ball," he added. "Sometimes in life you think you're doing the right thing and it doesn't turn out that way. That's kind of what happened here. I didn't think it was going to come out to this..."

Um... how exactly was keeping the ball the "right thing" to do? He makes it sound like he was keeping it out of the goodness of his heart and in everybody's best interests or something.

And the second part of the quote is funny -- "I didn't think it was going to come out to this." -- because just a little bit earlier in the article, he says the trade had nothing to do with this.

It's all amusing.
