Happy New Year!
12/31/04: I woke up to my Dad saying that our cousins (3rd cousins that is) are going to be here in and 1 hour and a ½. That means we had to clean like crazy! We got it all done and they arrive. It was only Yule’s family though, Debbie (His wife) and his two sons Nicholas (10), and Mike (13). Joe (Omar) and his kids weren’t able to come. We all sat at the table and Dad made some Popcorn and we decided to play Cranium. The teams were Mike, Nick, Bekah, Kenny, and I against Yule, Debbie, and Dad. It was a lot of fun playing with them. Debbie is a really nice and pretty lady. Yule is more mellow and quiet. Mike is pretty funny but kind of rude. Nick is talkative and very funny. I’m glad they all came it was a lot of fun. After Cranium they had to leave so we said goodbyes until the next time they are in San Antonio or we’re in Michigan.
After they left I ate some food and finally decided to go to Karen’s house for New Years. We left at about 7 and when we got there my cousins and some other kids were playing Cranium. Ok these are the kids that were there: Kenny, Ben, Jocelyn, Jubilee, Maggie, Evan, David, Jennifer, Hollie, Caesar, Nicholas, Emily, Melina, Frances, and one of there old friends Abram. Wow it is a lot of people. We started to play Cranium for a while, but it got boring and then we decided to play Mafia. It was a lot of fun! I was pretty bad and I didn’t know what to do as to be stealth and all. Caesar was being so funny! He was so loud and he convinced me of the mafia people. We played it about 5 times. One time I got to be the cop but I killed by the Mafia. After we played Mafia we decided to go do fireworks.
The kids were so much fun when we did the fireworks! I wanted Maggie to be happy, so I put down some poppers for her to stomp on; she was having so much fun. Then Karen got out the sparklers and every kid got one; except for Maggie she was afraid of them. After she had seen how much fun they had with them her fear disappeared and I gave her one and told her to write her name in the air. She wrote her name while saying the letter out loud it was so cute. After the kids got tired of the sparklers they got out some bigger fireworks like chickens, tanks, smoke bombs. The big kids were the only ones allowed to light them (big kids, as in Frances, Abram, and I). Every single kid was calling my name. They all wanted to light their own things. Caesar got two tanks together and faced them so they can “Fight”. I lit one end and he lit the other. Caesar really liked the two tanks. So we got some more and did it again. I lit one end before his and then he had to move away so we though it was ruined, and then his suddenly lit!
After a little more of this we stopped the fireworks and I had a big blister on my thumb from the lighter (I also was burned). We went inside and I went to the backyard with Dave, Caesar and Melina and they were playing around out there. Then David got some more fireworks and he wanted to set of some. The other two big kids wouldn’t do it, so I said I would. We went out there and we put many black cats together and lit them. Some of them didn’t light so we did it some more. After we blew them all up we went inside and they had the cake. I cut the cake and Karen got the ice cream.
Then it was about 10 minutes till’ the New Year. Karen had bought some Apple Cider for the kids to toast too when the New Year arrived. So I poured all the drink and we sat in front of the T.V. and waited.
1/1/05: Then it came we all counted down till’ the New Year and then toasted with our apple cider (J)! It was a lot of fun! After we toasted Karen went outside and told everyone to come outside and see the fireworks. All the kids walked down the street and we heard and saw the fireworks. The little kids really liked them. I picked up Nicholas on my shoulders for a better view, and then I picked up Maggie. Maggie was yelling loudly “Happy New Year” she was having so much fun. Wee went back ion after about 15 minutes.
Then our cousins had to leave, and Hollie’s (and Caesar and Nicholas) Mom came. So they thought they had to leave, their Mom said they could stay the night. I went into David’s room and played Ninja Turtles with Caesar, and David. I told them that we had a multi-tap (I think that is how you say it)., and Casear really wanted to get it, so I called Dad and told him to pick me up and bring it with him. Dad was playing Risk 2210 with Uncle Mike and Larry; he said they would be about 1 hour. Well we decided to play liar and we played that for a while. Then we started to play Monopoly, but to me and Caesar’s (he was on my team) disadvantage they didn’t play with houses! I didn’t understand! Jen said it was too complicated, whatever. So it was about 4 in the morning and Dad hadn’t come. We finished Monopoly and then we played heads up 7 up for a while. Then we started to watch T.V., and Caesar fell asleep (poor guy). He really wanted the multiplayer thing : \ Finally at about 5 Dad came with the stuff and I went home, and fell asleep.
Today we are going to go eat at the Chinese restaurant (in a couple of minutes) and I might go to Rachel L.’s party. Happy New Year! Bye.
