So, Friday night was lovely. Mom treated me to dinner at Ram, where we had delicious burgers. We went to Meijer and I picked up four skeins of yarn to knit with, and then I treated her to a movie. We went to see Sweeney Todd, and it was excellent. I was happy with it. Then we went home, watched Nip/Tuck, and then I was up until 4:00 in the morning doing things like dishes and laundry.
We left later than planned, so I didn’t arrive in Richmond until 5:00. Dad and Cindy were already there, and we had dinner, but Aunt Cathy and Uncle Rob didn’t show up until around 7:00.
I am sharing the front room again with Kaity. She’s sleeping on the couch, and I’m sleeping on an air mattress on the floor. Things are going well, I like sharing a room with her. It’s pretty much tradition, it seems. She’s a freshman in high school, now. It’s kinda weird, but at least we can talk about things. Well...
Last night, I’ll say, was interesting. It started with me thinking about eggs. I was hungry for eggs. Kaity was hungry too. We were talking about food, and we were so hungry. But we couldn’t just go out into the kitchen and get something to eat, because we would get yelled at. And we couldn’t go out, because it was late. It was midnight, and we were starving, and all we could think about was food. Our mouths watered with the thought of fried chicken, biscuits, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese. But that was after we went though a whole breakfast complete with pancakes, bacon, eggs, and hash browns. Mmm...
There was a point where I was lying on my air mattress, rolled up in the blankets, and I started singing, “I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts...” and the two of us were singing it together, and then we started singing “Yellow Submarine...”
This morning, we had pancakes for breakfast. Hallelujah!
I had started reading Rant yesterday, and then I finished it this morning before I took my shower. It was pretty good. Then, around 1:00, I started knitting a scarf for Joe, and I knitted a lot today. I have over four feet of it done.
Uncle Rob set Grandma and Grandpa's house up with a wireless router for everyone with laptops. Sweet!
Oh, and we had snow flurries. Now only if it would really snow...
Christmas Eve is tomorrow, and I feel like a very curious and excited child! Woo-hoo!
