intel interview #3 was today....and can i say....I ROCKED IT!!! it was all about object oriented programming (something which i know very little about)...but i managed to remember what little i understand about it...and i was able to apply it to questions he asked...and when i didn't know something, he would give me a hint and almost always i got it from the hint!...i know you might be thinking that it's really not that big of a deal..but i was pretty excited about it
soooo...at the end of the phone call he said..........he said...............he said........that even though i didn't seem to have a very strong background in OOP, it seemed like i could figure things out on my own and i was quick to catch on to his hints, so he thought i could succeed in the job..although it would be a steep slope at first...so here's the delimma...
it would be a really hard job..something i would really have to try and i could very well fail my assignments...but at the same time is a chance to really learn some shit that could help me in the long run...and i could really take this opportunity and do a lot
or i could take the cisco job...and i would still be learning new stuff, but it wouldn't be as difficult...and i would be in NC...which is a good thing and a bad thing...a good thing beacuse in my ideal world, after i graduate, i am going to move to back to the south...and NC is my top choice place to live...and it wouldn't suck, because i know a couple of people in raleigh...and meg has some friends there...and NC just rocks...and my grandma is in charlotte which isnt very far away...but bad because being in NC == me not being in boston...i can't be in 2 places at once...and possibly giving up boston and my friends for 6-8 months is a lot
i also interviewed at BAE systems today after my intel interview...they are pretty cool..they do some cool shit...but they are in lexington==right next to MIT/LL==REALLY FAR AWAY and i have no car...so yeah...that one's pretty much dead before it even had a chance...i can't do the 2 hour commute via MBTA for another 6 months
what would you do?...and dont tell me you can't make decisions for me...i'm not asking you to make my decsions for...just looking for input
