2017: so far so good

Happy new year, hahaha!
Almost 2 months have passed and here I am posting my first entry in 2017.
How was my 2016? It was full of crap, haha. A lot of happy moments though I think they don't compensate the bad experiences I've had, hahaha.
But this year, I'm starting it with hope and full anticipation. I'm supposed to graduate from my bachelor degree in July, and currently I'm writing my thesis about idol worship. I haven't work on it since last week though, haha. I need a great motivation to start working again.
Ah, I'm currently working part time as a playgroup teacher! I work every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8-10 AM. I'm teaching 3-4 year old kids, and the class consists of 8 students. They are pretty much sweet and smart, but sometimes can be challenging. I love my job, and I love those kids. Everyday is unique and colorful, haha.
2 great things, right. Make it 3.
I WON A QUIZ! Yay!!! I won a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Classic. It was held by a website named "Pijaru" (they also have a Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter account). They posted a video on YouTube, asking the viewers about "bagaimana cara mendinginkan matahari" (how to cool down the sun). Since matahari (sun) can be used as a female name in Indonesian, here's my answer: purposely forgetting her birthday. Better not to greet her for about a week. There you have a cold Matahari. But don't forget to prepare some presents to warm her (heart) again, like buying her NES. Hahaha.
Then I won that quiz, hahaha.
On Friday (February 24th) I came to Pijaru's office to get my prize and they asked me to shoot a "testimony video" with them without any preparation, haha.
It was fun! I was told to read the script prepared by them. I had to keep a nervous expression and portraying a person that's been forced to give a nice testimony. To make it more "real", one of Pijaru's crew held a knife behind my back, hahaha. And when I expressed my joy with a pressured expression, one of the crew told me to smile by saying "senyum, senyum!" (it was on the script too, haha).

Script translation: I lived a simple life, nothing exciting. Mostly spent by coming to the office, reading gossip news, working, get scolded by my boss, and keep reading gossip news again. But since I knew Pijaru, my life became more colorful. I can watch funny, informative, and entertaining videos. But most importantly, I can also get a prize (from them)!
So, I can say that 2017 starts with some great experiences. Hope I can end it with more great experiences too!!!
