Hello lovely rarepair writter, welcome to my DA letter. I'm sure I'll love whatever you write, I'm very easy to please. Don't be frightened off by the length of my letter, it's just sorta grown over the years of exchanges and I throw a bunch of stuff in. I always like it when my assigned DA letters are long and rambly, lots of different ways to get inspired, get a feel for my person, so I hope this letter gives you that. Feel free to go wherever you want to go, my prompts and ramblings are just suggestions.

Carolyn/Riddick
Ahhh, I have never really gotten over this pairing. 'Pitch Black' is one of the best scifi movies made, it was so creative and the way they used light/shadow - gah, that's for another post. Long story short, I just really love that movie and Fry & Riddick were a massive part of that. I'd love anything that had him going back to rescue her, can be immediately when she runs off or several weeks/months later - and he's never felt bad about leaving someone behind, but something about her made him feel guilt and shame. And how has Carolyn fared on the planet? Getting her badass Ripley-self on, I bet. Or something about after they've escaped the planet, what do they do now? Is Carolyn sort of panicking? She's most definitely lost her job and now she's running around with a fugitive that she's kinda sorta attracted to. What does she think about this? What does she want to do? Do they become merchants/shipping people, pirates, mercenaries, etc? What? And what do they get up to in that spaceship all day? Does she call him on all those sexual bravado-esque bluffs he made to her? I'm totally down for some PWP type stuff, I only ask that you not write Carolyn as this meek little thing and Riddick as this uber man; a lot of the porny fic for these two goes that route and I've always thought that considering the industry Carolyn worked in, she'd be a bit more pushy and demanding in the bedroom. I'm also up for anything set during the movie, a character POV or something AU. You're welcome to integrate the canon from the rest of the films in if you want, but I don't care either way. :)

Joe/Laurel
I'd love love love to see Joe and Laurel flirting; maybe she's working on one of his cases or whatever - lots of eye contact and sly smiles. And then them on a date and how wonderful a man he is and how powerful a woman she is. What happens when he founds out she's the Canary, maybe he has like a crisis of being involved with someone a) so young and b) also putting their life in danger like his son. Maybe Joe needs a lawyer for something and so he reaches out to her because she understands their unique circumstance and is better at helping. Or maybe Team Flash comes to Starling City for something and I dunno, they have coffee.
Cisco/Laurel
I love how *unusual* a pairing Cisco and Laurel would make, but I think that very oddness would make them a really great pair. He makes her laugh, empowers her as the Canary, making up gadgets and totally loving how badass she is. And she would make him laugh, encourage and support him in his work, share in the nerd-love (cause they are both total geeks), would provide that familial-kindness sense of security that he craves. And they'd have fun together. They'd be totally adorable. I'd love to see a 'getting together' fic; them making eyes at each other, flirting, but them both being unsure about how the other feels, both feeling like they couldn't "get" someone like that (Cisco because of how beautiful and classy Laurel is and how she tends to always date millionaire playboy-types and Laurel because she'd be concerned she wasn't the right type of smart nerd he was into and that she's made really bad choices when it comes to men so she's afraid). And maybe their friends get involved to get them together. OR a first date fic, first time fic, a fun hang-out time. ANYTHING.

Mellie/Olivia
These two *sigh*. Love love love. I really don't care what you give me haha. I'd be up for a character-study sort of piece where one of them ponders the other, thoughts sliding into dirty ones. Or them commiserating together over many bottles of wine about how much Fitz has screwed them over (cause shit he has, eh) and them getting a little too drunk and one of them makes a move. Or the day one of them realizes they're sort of in love with the other. They both seek power, both are attracted to it, and both of them have it in spades. Maybe Liv realizes one day - with startling clarity - that Mellie is the Grant she should be helping, that *she* should be President. And then deciding to help her of course. Or one day Mellie just snapping, curious to see what all the hubbub is about "Olivia Pope" and just kisses her one day, to see, and they both end up really liking it and begin a steamy affair. Or something future focused with Olivia helping Mellie win the Presidency and the sort of awkwardness of Mellie and Fitz still being married (for political reasons), but Olivia is now with Mellie and the sort of angst and drama it brings them, not to mention logistical issues haha. This is also the one fandom where my infidelity squick does not apply cause they're all sleeping with each other.
Stargate SG1
Elizabeth Weir/Cameron Mitchell
Ship SO hard. I love that they both get it, they both get what it's like to have decided your life to a service and that frequently your time is not your own. I think the distance of their relationship wouldn't destroy them either. I'd love something about like '5 times they met' or when SG1 came to Atlantis and how he was rather unabashed in his open flirtation with her and she took him up on it. I'm okay with a one-night-stand type thing or a 'it developed into more' thing. Maybe they have an open relationship, because they *are* so long-distance. Anything that just makes them work together and for them to be like 'whoa' about the other. If you're interested, I'm also open to some Weir/Cam/Sheppard type action if you prefer to go that way.
Sam Carter/Paul Davis
It always bothered me while watching the show that they never seemed to know what type of man Sam Carter would be attracted to...and Jack was the antithesis of that. I really liked Martouf, but I didn't request it because this pairing is even smaller and I love it. I like that they would be a really good match for each other; he's smart, understands what she's going through, believes in the program and her work, is a very kind and classy man who also dresses nicely. So I'd love anything about them flirting with each other, their mutual interests, and how they'd both be conflicted over how to start seeing someone you work with but don't actually work with (cause I'm pretty sure they'd be able to date without any issue). I'd also be open to a homefront-type story, with her going out on missions and him staying at home and his anxiety over that (but he wouldn't have a dumb gender-based problem with it, he'd just be worried about the woman he loves). Or maybe she takes him on a mission one day, to one of her favourite planets, and gives him a tour. Or maybe he takes her to a fancy Washington political dinner. Or something about the politics of the Gate program. I'm a big fan of the Sam & Tealc and Sam & Janet friendships if you wanted to write her having a friend to talk stuff over with.
Star Trek Voyager
Seven/Kes
I ship Kes/Seven pretty damn hard....and its a lonely place to be because its such a teeny ship. So ANYTHING about them would be amazeballs. What I like about them as a pairing is how complimentary they would be for each other. Seven is an abuse survivor, the traumatic event of watching her parents be assimilated and then going through it herself, coming out of that imprisonment decades later and adjusting to human existence. Kes has a wonderful capacity for empathy and she's so patient and caring - those are qualities I see Seven wanting/needing in a partner. And Seven is incredibly confident and empowering and she would help enable Kes to achieve her dreams and push herself further. They'd be just great together. So anything about them would be LOVE. Maybe Kes reaches out to Seven to help her and offer friendship at any point, or maybe Kes makes Seven laugh in a way that no one else has been able to, maybe explore how Seven feels safe with Kes and she doesn't know that feeling is - actually, any sort of exploring new human emotions with Seven via Kes would be love. or do something about Seven realizing she's attracted to Kes and her exploring how/attempting to ask out Kes. What's their first date? Or the reverse, of Kes feeling attracted to Seven and not sure what to do about it. I'm okay if you want to completely ignore the hetero-focused nature of Trek at this time (like "teaching" Seven about romance was super hetero in the show wtf) because Trek would have been super queer-positive to the point where it wouldn't have even been a thing. Or you can talk about it, about how Seven was having issues connecting with men in that sense and/or rationalizing love vs the bio-procreation stance. Etc. As long as it's queer positive, I don't really care where you take it haha. The piece can be fluffy and romantic or really angsty, whatever you're feeling. I also ship Janeway/Chakotay like it's oxygen..just an fyi. :)
Icheb/Naomi
Icheb and Naomi are two of my favourite characters on Voyager - okay, well I love them all so that's a stupid way to start this paragraph hahah. Anywho...I really like the idea of them together, I think it makes a natural sort-of sense seeing as they are the only ones on the ship near their age, but also because they'd make a great pair. They both are inquisitive, love science, have a very strong sense of morality and ethics, love their Voyager, both have Seven as a role model, etc. As for plot bunnies, I'd love something set post-Endgame, where they are home and everyone scatters but maybe they meet again at the Academy or always stay in touch because no-one else really gets them, except the other. And so then maybe that friendship blossoms into something else. Or have them not get home by the canon date, and have them grow up a bit more together, maybe Naomi develops a little crush on Icheb, then gets over it, but then actually falls for him when she's older. Or follow that canon episode (name I keep forgetting) where Janeway & Chakotay move through time on the ship and meet Icheb and Naomi when they're older - who are they at that age? What are they like? I'd also love something about them just exploring the nature of a relationship and the issues that arise; what complications/issues come up as a result of Icheb's borg parts? do they have any inter-species issues? what career path does Naomi eventually decide to take (I'm thinking command or medical)? do they try and keep their relationship a secret for a while because everyone on the ship is super invested in them/nosy? Etc. Anything really. I'd prefer any actual romance-type stuff to take place when Naomi is at least 17/18-20. :) I also ship Janeway/Chakotay like it's oxygen..just an fyi. :)

I prefer these two getting together when she's older. Maybe they've been working together for years, managing the supernatural stuff and they became friends and then maybe more some. Be neat to see some of the issues that could arise between Lydia and Allison as a result; that Allison is a bit weirded out that her BFF and her dad are such good friends and then when that turns into something more. And feel free to explore the complications that arise from their age differences. Or maybe Lydia has been away at college, doing her PhD and she runs into Chris randomly one day in a different city and they go for coffee to catch up and they are both surprised at there being a spark there, then seeing where it goes. If you wanted to do something from Lydia's POV when she's under 20, where she thinks about him and recognizes how sexy he is, and maybe has some masturbatory thoughts about him, I would be okay with that. But I really do not want him to reciprocate it while she's so young. No daddy kink or them getting together while she's under 20 please. Or maybe Lydia has always fantasized about him so once she's old enough, like maybe her gift for finishing her BA or MA is that she's going to "have" him and so then she goes after him quite aggressively. You're welcome to ignore the Allison-dying thing, or stay with canon, I'm okay either way. Also, any sort of AU works for me (cause I love AUs), maybe something like a royalty fic (maybe Lydia is the incumbent Queen and unmarried and notices Chris as a lower class...or reverse it) or academic AU where they're both professors or something or a fairy-tale AU. Whatever floats your boat.
