A beautiful story indeed...very well written. The illustrations are by far some of the best work I've seen - the second one in particular reminds me of a photo of Sean and Elijah I saw not long ago on SANET (both of them were in virtually the exact same pose, if I recall correctly).
In a way, this story brings back memories of another fic I read a long time ago - "All That I Had" on West of the Moon by Elanya. It wasn't focused so much on the 'sexual' relationship between Frodo and Sam as the emotional one - the bond between them that spoke more of friends and brothers than simply master and servant.
Well, baby! Thank you! I didn't even know you read fan fic very much. I'm honored that you enjoyed it. I LOVE writing Sam and Frodo.. and am working on a sequel to these two stories.
Believe it or not, I actually do. I have a list of authors that I routinely keep up with on Stories of Arda including Dreamflower, Anso the Hobbit, Larner and SoundofHorns. I also read the fic on West of the Moon, and the_mad_hobbit has some wonderful stories of her own on her website.
I also read Marigold Cotton's LiveJournal Tale Challenges that are posted monthly - she collects fics from a wide variety of authors each month (different themes) and posts them in LiveJournal.
Oh, Rakshi, this is so lovely and evocative! I like how determined Sam is to sit out and watch the sea and how Cirdan takes such good care of him. And Graewolf's drawings are a perfect complement.
(I am so glad you reminded me of these in another post because I forgot about them--you posted right before my big interview when my brain was mush.)
I look forward to the stories you've just written and to your next F/S!
OH, honey.. thank you for reading them.. and thank you for commenting. They're a little different than the 'normal' Sam and Frodo... with a bit of fantasy thrown in.. and I was afraid folks wouldn't like them.
