.. truly distressing, what is happening on the lists, but not entirely surprising.
And, as someone who does web sites for a living, I REALLY sympathize with Jo over how she was treated regarding the archive. It's a LOT of work.
I hope we can all co-exist in an atmosphere of respect and caring. I left the other rps list and started the Sean/Elijah list BECAUSE I really, truly felt despised by many of the people there. I've talked about it here. It really hurt, all the 'why I can't write Sean/Elijah' and 'My issues with Sean/Elijah'. It seemed.. and seems.. so unfair.
Perhaps the new list will be different. I'd like to feel as though I am a respected author on the CTB list. I'd like to feel as though my FICS are welcomed, liked, and respected. I'm certainly willing to assume that this is going to be the case and post my stories there as well as on the Sean/Elijah list.
To me.. it makes all the sense in the world. I LOVE to write Sean/Elijah. But I'd SUCK at writing the kind of Viggo/Orli stuff that others do so well!! So.. they can read my SA/EW and I'll read their Viggo/Orli.. and everyone will benefit.
Well. I have an open mind.
