I started capping ROTK last night. Have a ways to go yet because I just can't bear to cap that movie all in one sitting. Have several pages up though. I think you'll like what's there.

Why is your aspect ratio off? The images have been squished horizontally... is it that way on your DVD rom or is your graphics program doing that? Hmmmm... ::scratches head::

I didn't think it was off. I had to resize them, of course. But I used Photoshop and it doesn't alter the aspect ratio when it resizes them. I'll check it again.. tho, they looked right to me.

I made an image comparing your cap with shadowfax8's. Notice that your color and clarity are actually superior, but the proportions of the face are off. This probably means that you were using a selection while Photoshop resized the entire canvas, thus making your selection off-ratio. Try cropping off the black borders of your cap first, then resizing in a separate action... or conversely, resize the entire cap using your desired width, then crop.

I made the same mistake with all of them. I resized before I cropped.

Thank god I saved all the original high res pics so at LEAST I don't have to recap them all.

Well I guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend. And, you know.. they always DID look odd to me. But I thought it was the color or something.

I think.. it had to do with the way I was capturing them. I was capturing them with the aspect ratio of the original video source size. And I should have been capturing them with the current video window size. I think that's what caused the problem.
