Walk to Rivendell.
Well, I've walked 257.53 miles out of 458. And this is where I am right now: they have left Weathertop after Frodo was attacked there and are slowly making their way toward 'The Last Bridge'. I'm more than half way there, which is good!
"Next day, early in the morning, they came down again to the borders of the Road. Sam and Strider went forward, but they found no sign of any travellers or riders. Here under the shadow of the hills there had been some rain. Strider judged that it had fallen two days before, and had washed away all footprints. No horseman had passed since then, as far as he could see."
Cathy and I canceled our Curves membership last week. So now on the nights we would have gone to Curves we're going to walk instead. Probably mostly down on the beach where I usually walk. It's public, safe, and one of the most beautiful views in Seattle.. AND there's a Subway right there where we can grab dinner and eat it sitting on a bench looking out at Puget Sound. Sounds like a good plan to me.
We're going to try to do at least 45 minutes, which is 2 miles. I may walk in the morning as well just to keep building my strength and endurance up.
