Day 24!
My favorite childhood book.
Hmmm, well, that won't work because I had too damn many to pick just one. My mom taught me to read before I even started school. By the time I was in 5th grade I was reading at a college level. My teachers had to develop an individual reading program for me because I finished my class textbook in a day. I read voraciously as a child. Read every day. Read all the time.

I read: Mark Twain, Louisa May Alcott, Jane Austin, Wyss, Washington Irving, The Bronte's, Dickens, Dumas, Jack London, Kipling, Baum, Beatrix Potter, Melville, Poe, Sir Walter Scott, Anna Sewell, Robert Louis Stevenson, Jules Verne, I read about Greek Mythology (for some reason I loved it...)... and all of this and many more that I can't remember before I started high school, many before I started middle school. And of course 'The Hobbit' and 'Lord of the Rings' - but that was after I was a teenager.
So you can see that I'd have something of a hard time picking a favorite. When I was engrossed in reading them... they were ALL my favorite. And most of them still are.
Reading has always been something of a big deal for me. Because of this I thank whatever power may exist in the universe for ebooks. I really don't have the space anymore to keep all the books that I want to keep. Ebooks allow me to have my library anyway. They are a huge blessing in my life.
Besides... they also let me have an iPad full of slash fanfiction!
