DIR EN GREY 11/22/2009
Its taken me a while to collect my thoughts. I didn't really want to leave anything out. This is only going to cover Sundays show.
Me and my friend Thali leave around 1PM for the venue. We had to take the bus all the way from The San Fernando Valley. It takes 1hour and 1/2 to get to the venue via bus. We got there and met up with our friends Anna (weiss_kreuz101)and Dea (dlberserk). We sat around taking for a while and then someone pulled out this blow up doll randomly. I think it was someone named Tracy that planned to give it to the band. A lot of fans had signed it. I thought it was funny so i signed it. I signed near the ass.

Later on they tried to give the blow up doll to George the roadie. He looked kinda surprised and embarrassed at first but then he thought it was funny. He walked into the bus doll first and when he came back out everyone was clapping for him. XD
Nothing really interesting happened for a couple of hours until we saw a mad rush to the front. Turns out people started lining up for the Pass the line. A lot of the people that had camped out got cut and when the security guard asked who camped out he didn't do anything about it. Not very organized but oh well.
Thali went to go get some subway while we were waiting in line. Yay! We waited some more. I had to go to the bathroom like an hour before the door opened so I got out of line. As I was heading over I saw someone coming from the opposite direction that looked like Die and Nora. As he got closer I noticed it was him and I stopped and then he stopped. We looked at each other and then I kept walking and so did he. He has such a rockstar aura.
Doors opened at around 7. Me and Thali made a mad dash for Toshiya and Kaoru's side. We ended up 3rd row. I saw weiss_kreuz101 and dlberserk up front. *invisible high five* I was also right next to Javier (xchoco69)! He is such a sweet-heart! Thanks for helping me not get so squished!<3 Everyone stood around talking. We talked with this girl behind us who was wearing 7 in heels. I thought she was pretty cool until during the show when she ended up between me and Thali and started stabbing our feet and ankles with her heels of death. I understand its a concert and you are going to be pushed and squished, but getting stabbed by 7 inch heels is not cool. Same goes with the hair pulling during my "experience" on the Friday show.
The show starts about 8:30. All I can say is BEST SETLIST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

The crowd went crazy when GDS started. Everyone was screaming KILL KILL KILL. It was crazy! They went straight into Obscure. Everyone started headbanging. It was nuts. Holy crap Merciless Cult. I love this song. I love when Kyo would scream "Gasp for breath" and the fans would fist pump and make that grunting/screaming noise. Red Soil. was amazing. I didn't think they would play this. The band has such an energy. I love watching them perform. Kaoru and Toshiya kept calling to the fans in a sort of "bring it" way and everyone would go crazy and scream louder. Doukoku to Sarinu is one of my favs on the album so I just loved this. After Kyo would scream out "Go Mad" we would scream out "Cries In Vain". The Deeper Vileness This song was crazy. Lie Buried with a Vengeance I love the end of this song when everyone is just screaming Fuck over again and then You're a mother fucker. I didn't include Vinushka in the live report for the 20th. oops. This song is just amazing live. I like it because it is slow in the beginning and then it gets crazy in the middle. Reiketsu Nariseba. As I said before, this song is meant for lives. Stuck Man was next. I love it when they scream "Heil Jap". Hydra -666- was awesome. I love fist pumping and screaming out 6-6-6. I think this is when Kyo does one of this voice things. I forgot when he did the first one I think it might have been between Merciless Cult, Red Soil or Doukoku. Watching Kyo perform all I can thing is AMAZING. I love how they had the echo effect. It was such a good experience! Inconvenient Ideal was next. I just love this song. Its another one of my favorites. I am such a sucker for slow songs. I was singing along to this one. OMG Toguro. I just love this song! Its my absolute Fav off the album! I heard them play it before in 08', I still love it now! Dozing Green is awesome. More sing-a-long. XD That was the end of the set and the band left the stage.
Everyone was chanting for Dir en grey and then it switched to encore.The band came back out very quickly! It took me by surprise! They hit it off with Akuro no Oka. Just WOW! I didn't think they would play this song. The crowd was singing along to it right from the beginning. When Kyo would sing "Ano basho de" and when it was suppose to repeat like in the actual song the crowd would repeat. Ahh this is such a nice song! WEE They played Kodou. I love the guitar solo for this song. Its amazing. I nearly died when they started playing Bottom of the Death Valley. Kisou is my favorite album and this is my second favorite song on it. My favorite song is 24ko Cylinder. I can't even describe the feeling. We were singing the lyrics it was just so awesome! Ugly was next. Every time I would listen to this song on my ipod I would think "It would be awesome if I could headbang to this live. I finally could! FUCKING AWESOME! My neck still has kinks in it. XD Kyo started screaming last song and the band went into The IIID Empire. It is so fun screaming out "Kokkahanei Kokkahanei Kokka" during this song. A wonderful way to end the encore!
The band was throwing stuff. I saw Toshiya throwing a towel. I didn't catch anything. I was wearing a V-cut shirt and my chest was covered in hair that wasn't mine. It was from these 2 Korean girls with long hair in front of me. I brought my Average Blasphemy DVD from the other night because I didn't want to by a new one. I already have 3 copies of Uroboros and I didn't want another copy of the DVD. We got in line for the signing
The signing went by quickly. The band was also signing posters. I wish I had bought a poster now. >.< DIe was first. He was drinking a Heineken. XD He shook my hand and I moved on to Shinya. Shinya's grip got stronger. He no longer has such a girly handshake.XD Next up was Kaoru. He signed it and since there was a bit of a hold up I was in front of him for a little longer. So I said "I like your tattoos'" He just looked at me with a blank face and nodded. /ignored D= So I have this really funny story with Toshiya. I get to him and he starts signing my DVD. I have never seen how he signs but he started signing my DVD all weird. He starts signing from the far left side near the middle. Right when he put the sharpie there I got this confused look on my face. I have a "wtf are you doing" face So i leaned over the table to get a close look. He drags the sharpie all the way down drags it to the bottom of the middle, makes a little loop and makes an "x". He pushes the DVD back to me and I stare at his autograph in confusion. I look up and he is looking at me gives a mischievous grin, chuckles and shrugs. I smiled back shake his hand. Oh Toshiya. I think I was confused because I have never seen his autograph. I think everyone got it signed the same way. Here is a pic in case I confused anyone.
Next was Kyo. I gave his my dvd he signed it and when I put my hand out it looked like he didn't want to shake it because he hesitated and then he gave a small smile and shook it. He has a strong grip that took me by suprise.

So I finally met the whole band! One life goal complete! (I don't have very good good goals)We went home after wards. It was such an amazing concert! I wish i could re live it. I didn't say bye to weiss_kreuz101 and dlberserk because I couldn't find them. Sorry. Love ya! Thank you again xchoco69! You are awesome!
