Minutes. I actually wrote a piano part for a song!

Minutes

I’m not here to tell a story of a love and labor lost
I’m not here to pine for vengeance or complain about the cost
I’m not here to sing a sad song and to wish and wont for affection,
I’m not here to spin a tale about the infinite rejection.

No, I’m here for one reason and one reason only,
I’m here to tell you what it’s like to not be lonely.

Mere minutes that go by when I don't think of you
Feel like hours in my life with nothing else to do
The second turn to days
And the daylight turns to night
As the minutes go by

I’m not the kind of girl who just say things to hear them said
I’m not the one who’ll ask you to buy me roses coloured red
I’m not one to recite poetry to express my emotions true,
And I’m not the girl who says I love you just to say I love you

No, I’m the one who watches you to see
If you’re sitting there, seeing and watching me.

Mere minutes that go by when I don't think of you
Feel like hours in my life with nothing else to do
The second turn to days
And the daylight turns to night
As the minutes go by

So, hold me, to make a memory,
Tell me that I’m the one you see,
Kiss me to say you won’t let go
And then when I have to leave
I’ll know that you’re thinking of me
And then you’ll know

Mere minutes that go by when I don't think of you
Feel like hours in my life with nothing else to do
The second turn to days
And the daylight turns to night
As the minutes go by

Yeah, written for the piano, I like it alot. Written for guess who?

Love,
Hayley Jane
