Cute. Stolen from Richard!

1. Favorite Beatles song:
Why'd they ask this one first? Ugh. Um... "Twist and Shout". Wait, also "When I Saw Her Standing There". Wait, also "She's Leaving Home." Oh, and "Hey Jude." Um, okay. How about: my favorite Beatles song is not "Rocky Raccoon." Which is not to say at all that I don't like it. It's just, well. There was this one time. Just read the entry for November 14th (pops to new window-or-tab). It was awful.

2. Favorite Doors song:
Like anyone who listened to the Forrest Gump soundtrack on endless repeat, I guess it's "Break On Through." I guess.

3. Favorite Rolling Stones song:
"Wild Horses" or any song that hasn't been co-opted for advertising, which seems to happen a lot to the Stones. (Notably, "Brown Sugar," "I'm Free," "Start Me Up," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Satisfaction," etc.)

4. Favorite Bob Dylan song:
"The Times They Are A-Changin'" I don't know why. It's just so good.

5. Favorite Led Zeppelin song:
I guess "Trampled Under Foot" or "When The Levee Breaks"

6. TV theme song:
Like, I guess "The Wonder Years," but that was a Beatles song. So I'm not going to count it. Meh. Probably "The Golden Girls." Or, Mama Cass's "Make Your Own Kind Of Music," which isn't a TV theme, but sounds like one. No, definitely "Monty Python's Flying Circus," if only for the joyous times "The Liberty Bell March" heralds.

7. Favorite Prince song:
"Seven"

8. Favorite Madonna song:
"Vogue"

9. Favorite Michael Jackson song:
"Beat It," or for those of you who like deep tracks, "Give In To Me." Really, almost every fucking Michael Jackson song. I love that guy.

10. Favorite Queen song:
Hard one. I fucking LOVE Queen. "Killer Queen." or "Somebody to Love." God, I love Queen. I'm going to listen to them right now.

11. Favorite Motörhead song:
The only one I know is "Ace of Spades." Why is Motörhead on here?

12. Favorite song from a cartoon:
Yakko's "World Song," wherein he names every country in the world.

13. Favorite Bruce Springsteen song:
I guess "Born In the USA." Respect the Boss, but not a huge fan.

14. Favorite Depeche Mode song:
Hm. It's not as if I don't know any, but I guess none stick out for me.

15. Favorite Cure song:
"Just Like Heaven," but I don't like The Cure that much.

16. Favorite song that most of your friends haven't heard:
Um, most of my "favorite songs no one's heard" have been sent to everyone by Aziz, because i got them from him. Sigh. Stupid Aziz. Whatever, I guess it's "Dinosaur Act" by Low.

17. Favorite Smiths song:
"What Difference Does It Make"

18. Favorite Beastie Boys song:
"Hey Ladies" and "Boomin' Granny"

19. Favorite Clash song:
I only know the one, because I'm an uncultured fuck. "Clampdown." Nah, I guess I know a few. But that one's my fave.

20. Favorite Police song:
"Roxanne," I guess, like everyone else. But it's really good, and I want to play the bass like Sting.

21. Favorite Eurythmics song:
The only one I really like and know is the one everyone knows, "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This"

22. Favorite Beach Boys song:
"Wouldn't It Be Nice"

23. Favorite Cyndi Lauper song:
"Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." It's the only one I really know, besides the other one.

24. Favorite song from a movie:
I loved the music to "Brokeback Mountain." It became a bit cliché after awhile, but it was so heartbreaking.

25. Favorite Duran Duran song:
Duran Duran sucks. There I said it. A song by them I do like, though, is "Come Undone."

26. Favorite Johnny Cash song:
"Man In Black."

27. Favorite song from an Eighties one hit wonder:
"Tainted Love" by Soft Cell

28. Favorite song from a video game:
I love the songs from SSX Tricky. So good.

29. Favorite Kinks song:
"You Really Got Me," I guess.

30. Favorite Genesis song:
"That's All"

31. Favorite Thin Lizzy song:
I actually don't know any. Send me some, if they're good, I guess.

32. Favorite INXS song:
OK. INXS is not good. But I guess "Devil Inside."

33. Favorite Weird Al song:
Now Weird Al, there's a guy I could talk about for days! He's so good at what he does! Everything from "Another One Rides The Bus" to "White and Nerdy" is excellent. I think my favorites are "Everything You Know Is Wrong," "White and Nerdy," "Alternative Polka," "Albuquerque," and like, everything! God! This is like the Beatles question!

34. Favorite Peter Gabriel song:
Whatever, I don't like Peter Gabriel. Call me what you like, music nerds. I like the video for "Sledgehammer"

35. Favorite John Lennon song:
Meh. I don't know. I guess I like "Imagine," which is the easiest answer for this. "Beautiful Boy," maybe? I don't know.

36. Favorite Pink Floyd song:
Sorry I'm not cooler than this, but "Wish You Were Here" is one of my favorite songs, period.

37. Favorite cover song:
Right now I'm loving Mindless Self Indulgence's cover of Rush's "Tom Sawyer" and Muse's cover of The Animals' "House of the Rising Sun" (SO good!). Also, shut up Aziz, but I like Fiona Apple's cover of "Across the Universe," though I do feel that pretty much no one should ever cover The Beatles, ever.

38. Favorite song to dance to:
I loves me some Reggaeton for booty shakin'. I think I can dance best to shitty music. Reggaeton and Crunk. Yeah, I'm classy.

39. Favorite U2 song:
Hard one. "One" is one of my favorite songs of all time, and I also love "I Will Follow," cause o' the rockouts, and "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses," for sentimental reasons.

40. Favorite song from an actor turned musician:
I usually don't like them. Like, ever. I guess I'd have to say that I like how Jamie Foxx sounds on "Gold Digger."

41. Favorite disco song:
I know I'm saying a lot of common, well known songs for a music nerd, but I have to say I just love and always will love "Disco Inferno."

42. Favorite power ballad:
Um, really? Well, I guess for irony's sake (and a little bit of rockout seriousness, not gonna lie), I'd go with "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."

43. Favorite Guns N' Roses song:
No. Just no. Okay, maybe "Welcome to the Jungle."

44. Favorite The Who song:
"Won't Get Fooled Again." Especially because I can think of President Bush's "you get fooled once..." fuckup. Man, that guy sucks.

45. Favorite Elton John song:
"Daniel," or maybe "Benny and the Jets." I kind of have a secret love for Elton John. Secret's out.

46. Favorite song, period:
God Damn. I can't pick, so I'll just mention some I haven't gotten a chance to yet: Weezer's "Only In Dreams," Ani DiFranco's "Swan Dive," Blind Melon's "No Rain," Muse's "Plug In Baby," Mindless Self Indulgence's "Bitches," Dr. Dre's "Let Me Ride," Björk's "5 Years," Busta Rhymes's "Woo Ha!," Aimee Mann's "You Could Make A Killing"... I know there are more, but there's a sampling of some of my favorite songs.

47. Favorite Sting song:
Why are both Sting and The Police on here, and Motörhead, for fuck's sake, but no Radiohead, Bowie, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, REM, ANY Rapper, etc.? Fuck it, I'm adding those to the end of this. Also, Sting is adorable. I guess "Fields of Gold," but I really liked him a lot better with The Police.

48. Favorite Billy Joel song:
Both "Movin' Out" and "Downeaster Alexa"

49. Favorite Burt Bacharach song:
Gotta go with "What the World Needs Now is Love"

50. First popular song you have a memory of hearing on the radio:
"American Pie" was the first song I learned as a child.

51. Favorite Eagles song:
Not so much an Eagles fan, but I like "Hotel California" (I am so plebeian) and "Desperado"

52. Favorite Garth Brooks song:
"Friends in Low Places" is the only one I know, and the only one I need to know. I promise, you'd love it!

53. Favorite Green Day song:
Um, I guess. Hm. "Longview," I think.

Okay, here's some that I added because in my infinite haughty Musictard Nerdery, I thought the list was incomplete without them. But you don't have to agree with me. Add your own supplemental list, it's fun!

54. Radiohead (GLARING OMISSION, PEOPLE): Although I know so many B-Sides, rarities, and like ALL OF EVERY SONG ON THEIR ALBUMS, I still have to go with "Fake Plastic Trees."

55. David Bowie: Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes! Or, god. So. Many. Other. Songs.

56. Smashing Pumpkins: I know that Pumpkins fans hated it, but I liked "Bullet with Butterfly Wings." Also "1979."

57. Nirvana: "Lithium," I should think. Also, like every song on Nevermind and In Utero.

58. REM: Um. SO MANY. "Bittersweet Me," "Tongue," "Everybody Hurts"

59. Simon and Garfunkel: "Mrs. Robinson." Another product of listening to the Forrest Gump soundtrack a lot.

60. Elvis: Gonna have to go with "All Shook Up"

61. Rap Song: Tough one, but I've asked the question. I think Eminem's "When the Music Stops." He just spit it so real.

Taggins: 'Zizes, Clairey, Jeshu?... Manders? Erin? Who wants to do it. I'd like to see everyone do it. Please? Everyone?

Also, if anyone wants any of the music I mentioned, or more by the artists about whom I spooged, just ask me! I love sharing! Music=love!

I'm doing well. Real well, I'd say. Still jobless and mostly penniless. But happy. :)
