twenty four.

It was eventfully uneventful. I guess I'll remember this day as a day I was out doing the Lord's work, which for me is trying to get Democrats elected. I've been working on doing that for so long.

As usual, I'm humbled by and thankful for all the happy wishes. I have the loveliest friends and acquaintences, and even if it seems trivial, the MySpace and Facebook messages, e-cards, IMs and phone calls meant a super lot, especially on a day when other things took precedence over the anniversary of my birth. Life went on. Which is good, I suppose. I was more surprised at the people who didn't get in touch with me, most notably my forever-ex (with whom I'm on very good terms) and my Dad. I'm sure they both assumed I'd be busy, which I was. Never too busy to hear from two of the most important men in my life, though. It's the kind of omission that leads me to wonder if they're okay or possibly dying in a ditch somewhere.

... Even Katie managed to send a text message.

I'm officially in my mid-twenties. Odd, that.

(i doubt you still read this, but i still miss you, it should be noted.)
