[artless, functional, informational post to follow]

this is by no means sustainable. but it's beautiful. I'm in the (GIANT! can I stress to you how large this thing is?) walk-in closet of my (our) new apartment. I've got an allergy to something here (I've never had a plant allergy before), but the apartment's getting homier every moment. We just got the internets here today after much pain and suffering. It's 6am and I'm about to go to bed, to be woken up by my Zizely when he comes in from Philly at Obscenely Late/Early O'Clock. Either way I will have many koalas when I wake up to make lunch (we'll obviously sleep through breakfast). My dad's coming this evening with furniture and stuff. Every day things get a little more organized. Little things. The bathroom looks great and smells of bleach (i ONLY clean with bleach, bitches). The kitchen has become a functional place where I can cook. This town was named by some study or something as the most civically involved suburb in the country, or something, and it really shows; everyone's friendly, everyone looks out for one another, and there's so many community-activities going on all the time. I'm really growing to love this place. I still haven't been into the city yet, though I'm sure it'll be easy. I'm kept awake at night worrying about how I don't have a job, but in the isolated moments, it's peaceful, sunny, beautiful, homey. There were so many (well, like 6 or 8) crickets in the house when i got here, and i had to kill them (because they're hard to shoo outside and frankly they creep me out), but crickets are good luck, right?

We will see.

The boy and the kitty will be here by the 23rd. Hopefully I'll have a job by then. Hopefully this "pretending to be grown-ups" thing will work out ok for us. We're excellent bullshitters...

Although, maybe I should have let one of those crickets stay. I need all the luck I can get.
