Work.

Yesterday at work I had a record-breaking day.  I believe my old record for calls received in one day is 63.  Yesterday I got.... SEVENTY THREE.  Yes, I beat it by 10.  I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Also, it snowed on Monday.  Double blech.  It is, after all, the end of May, as everyone else on FB already pointed out to the weather, which incidentally has a nasty habit of not listening to such complaints.

Luckily today was much quieter call-wise.  However, we did have a power outage that covered a good chunk of southeast Provo for about 45 minutes, which was interesting.  Our building has generators, so we still had computers and phones up and running, but no lights (still plenty of sunlight though).  About 15 minutes into it, my department was temporarily shut down to save power (because we're not revenue-generating, ergo we are... extraneous?) and we were told to turn off our computers when we got off our calls because our phone lines were officially closed until the power returned.  30 minutes later, I finished my translation call... right as the power came back on.  Oh boy, was I a little ticked... especially since we were all expecting it to take a long time to get power back and maybe even thinking we could go home early.  Gah.  The last two hours of work lasted a very long time.

In other news, I am finally watching the rest of Firefly, which is much more hilarious than I remember it being.  Also, I tried making tortilla chips by frying tortilla wedges a few days ago and while they turned out decent, they definitely didn't really taste like chips... not crispy enough.  I might try baking them next time and see if that works better.

One last tidbit: ROCK BAND 3 has keyboards added in AND harmonies!  I am so incredibly excited.
