Friday: Danced the Country Polka in Dancesport. Nathan and I made it to the semi-finals because we're just that amazing. Even if there were so few couples entered that they only had two rounds, the semis and the finals. Then I got my passport picture taken at Costco, came home, and nursed my rhb back to health because he was quite ill. It's a miracle he was able to dance at all.
Saturday: Took my 4th (of 6) biochem test. I 'm feeling pretty good about it; evidently the class average was 65% and I got a 91%. Went to the ward chili cookoff solely to get dinner. Practiced the organ for 2 hours and got chastized mildly by the church building locker-upper for always coming to practice at 10pm (well, that's when I have time, and I never leave any doors unlocked or any lights on when I leave...)
Sunday: Played the organ in Sacrament meeting for the first time ever. After having them switch the closing song to one I could actually play up to tempo (even after practicing the original one at least 4 hours during the week), I did okay and nobody seemed to notice my numerous mistakes. Made custard that night.
Monday: Found out the passport-giving part of the post office closes at 4, not 5.
Tuesday: Found out I can't get a passport with my married name on it without a driver's license that matches. *sigh* (That was trip 3 to the post office. Trip one was last week when I got the application for a passport.) Made an apple pie in cooking, got home an hour early, and baked it to delicious golden perfection. Too bad we also have apple crisp and custard that need eating...
Wednesday: Had a crazy day at work, and our Xbox360 ate a brand new game. Nathan was not pleased. Also, the new Xbox Live Experience was released and has a bug that makes it so the sound doesn't work if you have HDMI cables unless you some convoluted series of things to fix it EVERY time you turn it on. Nathan was not pleased about that either.
Thursday: Spent all morning finding the DMV, getting a Utah license, using that license to get a passport, and tracking down a book for a paper I have to write. (The good news though is that my passport will arrive before Christmas break. 3 week turnaround time!) Then I went to work, expecting to have plenty of time to read said book, only to find it to be just as crazy as yesterday (except I had to endure it for 7 hours instead of 2 and a half). Then I talked to my sister for an hour and a half when I got home.
And that brings us back up to the present. And I have to wonder why I had hardly any homework these past few days, and now I have a TON to do this weekend... oh well, I'm sure it will all get done. It always does.
