I've decided to keep track of what books I read this summer because I think it would be interesting. For me at least, maybe not for anyone else...
So far:
The Hiding Place, Corrie ten Boom (see previous entry)
Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception (a good piece of light reading)
Mindscan, Robert J. Sawyer (quite interesting)
The Old Man's War, John Scalzi (entertaining and hard to put down, but too much swearing for my taste)
Warbreaker, Brandon Sanderson (online novel... for free! still in the draft stages, but I'm liking it so far)
I suppose if you count the ones I reread during the drive home, I can add a couple more:
The Clairvoyant Countess, Dorothy Gilman (good enough to want to reread)
Good Omens, Terry Pratchett/Neil Gaiman (ditto... and also highly amusing)
I already have an extensive waiting list, but my next two are going to be Shaman's Crossing and Forest Mage by Robin Hobb. Suggestions to add to said list are always welcome. :)
Gosh, you'd think I'd have read more books than that in 10 days. Especially since I really haven't gotten much else accomplished except buying a new outfit. Which, incidentally, includes a red pencil skirt that I am becoming quite attached to, and also a black top to go with the 4 other black tops I own (possibly more, that's all I can remember without looking in my closet though). But I digress. My point is, this summer is not going how I expected it to, which is frusterating.
And yet... it's going exactly how last summer went. Oh, the irony. Especially since I enjoyed last summer.
