Video Games Live.
It was fantastic. Especially because my escort could identify every game, even down to which Final Fantasy game each segment of that medley came from. I was mightily impressed. Other pieces included selections from Mario Brothers, Halo, World of Warcraft, Castlevania, Zelda, more Final Fantasy (I recorded 1 fuzzy minute of One Winged Angel on my phone), Frogger, Space Invaders, and many, many more. I think it was the combination of the music and the special effects (clips from the games played on a screen behind the symphony and a crazy light show) that made it so amazing. Plus, you know, the concept is just cool.
Oh, and we got free parking somehow. Two weeks of free parking in SLC in a row... we must be really talented I guess.
Anyway, on our way home we stopped at Yoasis, a new frozen yogurt shop that looked intriguing. Highly recommend it. It was freaking delicious. Amazing. Definitely check it out if you get the chance.
And now I should probably go to bed. YAY for being able to sleep in tomorrow!
