Pi - what else?

The Math department at BYU has failed me.  They were giving away donuts today.  Donuts!  It's Pi day!  They had a pi celebration and gave away donuts!  (Come to think of it, at their celebration last year, the pie they did give away was cheap cream pie that was hardly worth the calories.  So maybe it's not such a big loss.)  However, to their credit, they also held a pie-eating contest, which I didn't participate in.  I found out later they used rhubarb pie for the contest.  Weird choice.

Anyway.  I made my own pies, because Pi day deserves something delicious like that.  So far I have finished the mixed berry and apple pies, and I have an empty pie shell waiting to be filled up with delicious coconut cream pie filling...  They look pretty amazing, if I do say so myself.  I'm having a little party later to celebrate.  And pie will definitely be consumed.

For those of you who are unable to personally behold such deliciousness, pictures are forthcoming of this wondrous bounty.

Thanks go out to those of you who made this possible by providing pie plates and rides to the store to purchase ingredients.
