Sigh... well, no Settlers of Catan, but I did finally get to play Carcassonne with my expansion packs that I got 6 months ago and hadn't gotten the chance to try out yet. We shall attempt to forget how I got creamed by someone who has never played at all before...
Oh, almost forgot: the elevator update for the week so far!
Monday: 33 (It's a new record!)
Tuesday: 14
Wednesday: 28
That makes 75 this week, and it's only Wednesday. Right on track.
You know, when I do things like this it makes me wonder why I don't study statistics... and then I remember how boring Stats was when I took it last fall. Of course, that could be because it was an online class and was really easy. (Except when our internet would stop working and we had an online quiz due in half an hour at midnight, but then it was not as easy because of stupid whoever-our-provider-was, not because the material was actually tricky.) But I digress. Wait... I think I don't think I can digress when I didn't really have a specific topic I wanted to not digress from...
My hurrah for today: When I got the mail after work (the home mail, not the work mail), almost all of it was for me! I was shocked! I got three bank statements (to go with the one from yesterday that I hadn't opened yet) and a LETTER!!! Yep, my missionary wrote me back! Not the one I haven't met who's in Korea... the other one. Sister Rae replied to my letter I sent last week. So exciting!
The best part about getting mail is opening it with awesome letter openers (unless it's a real letter, then the best part is reading it). I mean, at work I have this amazing one that's heavy-duty with the razor blade and everything... it's pretty much capable of opening any piece of mail, hands down. And then at home I have this sweet one that looks like a rapier... how can you get better than that? Amy gave it to me for Christmas. It makes me think of pirates, The Princess Bride, and dashing young men... seriously, it makes me happy.
My other hurrah is that I figured out what StrongBad email the title of this post came from...
here. Yay for people with
too much time on their hands!
Defenestrate is a pretty awesome word. It means "the act of throwing someone or something out of a window". Ahh... trail mix... eggs... rotten potatoes... moldy oranges... rubber rats... good times.
