life's all about reading between the tragic lines.

>I live in Bandra, about five minutes away from the station.

As do I. It took me 4 hours to get home.

>Home is built to read and watch movies.

Why is it so hard to get someone to source and build a pc in Mumbai? Are people in Mumbai really this un-tech savvy? I have *zero* entertainment at home. :(

Jonathan Strange gave me the same kind of stupendous-sandbagged-by-the-sheer-brilliance feeling that Cryptonomicon did. Amazing, amazing book.

you alright, I trust?

yes, they are. Bombay makes me crave Delhi's uber-budget-tech hub Nehru Place every other day.

I honestly can't wait for Clarke's follow-up. Apparently The Ladies Of Grace Adieu is out in a couple of months, yes?

Certainly. My company's work culture ensures that I miss the rush hour on most days.

October. let us hope she doesn't go the way of all those authors with great debuts, though.

btw, you into quizzing at all?

well, call me foolishly optimistic but I don't see JonathanStrange as a flash-in-the-pan debut. Lets wait.

quizzing? I admire folk who are good at it. I'm sure I'd suck.

Now you're never going to meet you in mortal fear of me borrowing your DVDs!

1. Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun
2. Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving With A Pict

Glad to know you're safe,BB. Are these two from 'Piper'?

BB? do elaborate.

No, decided not to choose any one track from Piper, cause that whole album is so Barrett. Though my fave there would have to be Bike.

Set The Controls is from A Saucerful Of Secrets, and Several Species is from Ummagumma. Neither of the 4 tracks are Barrett songs at all, actually. But I think his impact resonates through them. His psychedelia was the aftertaste that kept Floyd, well, Pink.

The "Bitches Brew" album brings back memories. Its been lying unheard for quite some time now. On that not I'll rip it into my iPod. Stumbled here from deelight's journal.

Am still with Inox and hopefully, if not earlier, we'll try bumping into each other in Goa in Dec. :)

Just added you on my friends list.

Cheers
