Blissful weekend

Pretty good weekend. Saw X-3 Friday, it was awesome. Next big Marvel Comics movie coming out - Ghost Rider - staring Nicholas Cage. Never read the comic but the trailer was cool and I’m excited about it.

Saturday we went to the Chattanoogan hotel. Spent part of the day at the Tennessee Aquarium looking at all the fish and being annoyed by folks that just let their kids scream and scream, and stupid parents that let their kids run around wild, and parents with strollers looking to run over everyone. Have I mentioned yet that I hate other people’s kids? Anyway, had a not so hot pizza at the Mellow Mushroom and went back to the hotel for a quick break before going to have massages. That’s right, professional massages. Oh, it was wonderful. Heaven! I think we’ll make plans to go back around Christmas maybe.

We were also very impressed by the snootiness of the waiter in the official snazzy hotel restaurant. “We don’t serve hamburgers and things like that over here. If you want things off the kids menu, you’ll have to go over there” etc. Needless to say, we left and ordered in Chinese - which turned out to be a mistake, because it was awful. For future reference, calling room service would have cost the same and proby been just as expensive.

Err - and Sunday we spent lounging around and watching Inuyasha. Finished disk 14 or 15 I think. Now I have to wait until we get more in *pouts* Cleaned house and otherwise enjoyed spending time together.

Yesterday we were watching the Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan. We found out that by having the puppies sleep in crates, while that was good for housebreaking, is bad for them once they’re adult dogs, because instead of forming one big family pack, they form their own packs of one. So, armed with that information, we took their crates down and last nite they slept on the floor, loose in the room, blocked from the rest of the house by a baby gate. There weren’t any accidents on the floor, so I was proud of them. They’ve graduated to being big girls. 

And today - well, back to work. We don’t have appointments today, so that much is different. I’m trying not to work my appeals so that I will have something to do on overtime this afternoon. But I’m struggling to look busy at the same time. I’ve got things to do, but I can’t do them until the claimants respond, so I’m kind of stuck at the moment. I can’t let on that I’m struggling, because if I do, Ill end up with the crap from other people’s desks. And like I said, I’ve got stuff, but I need claimants to respond at the moment. Errrr

And anyway, I guess Ill actually do some work now.
