The Featured Album

File: Need Your Love (2005)
Artist: Do As Infinity
Format/size: ZIP of MP3's, 68.4 MB
Genre: Contemporary pop

Comments: This is Do As Infinity's newest album, Need Your Love. The tracks range from the upbeat liveliness of For the Future and Robot, to slow-tempo ballads, such as Ever and Na no Hanabatake. However, despite the diversity of the album, each and every song is refreshing in its own way (which is what I love about DAI's music).

TRACK LISTING:
01. For the Future
02. Blue
03. Be Free
04. Rakuen
05. Ever
06. One Flesh
07. Robot

Songs of the Week
File: Connected (Talla 2XLC Remix)
Artist: Ayumi Hamasaki
Format/size: MP3, 5.73 MB
Genre: Trance, techno pop

Comments: The remixed version of one of my favourite Ayumi songs. :) This version of the song has much more of a trance/techno sound to it than the original. Well put together and very danceable.

File: It's RAINing Remix
Artist: Bi (Rain)
Format/size: WMA, 4.80 MB
Genre: Jazz, hip-hop

Comments: The remixed version of It's RAINing sounds completely different than the original. Its normal quick-tempo hip-hop accompaniment is replaced by something that sounds more like smooth jazz (er, I think that's what it should be called). Interesting!

File: Vanilla (Acoustic)
Artist: Gackt
Format/size: MP3, 3.64 MB
Genre: Latin pop

Comments: The acoustic version of Gackt's Vanilla is definitely more relaxed, and even has a hint of Latin sound to it (uh, I think that's what it is. Sorry, brain refuses to function normally. Gah). Really nice.

File: Who's Theme
Artist: Minmi
Format/size: MP3, 6.85 MB
Genre: Acid jazz

Comments: I love this song very much. :D It was one of the insert songs played in the anime Samurai Champloo, by the same person who sang the opening theme, Shiki no Uta. It's a jazzy song with a slow tempo and a very relaxing beat.

File: Dreams Come True
Artist: S.E.S.
Format/size: MP3, 3.75 MB
Genre: Pop

Comments: This is probably one of S.E.S.'s most well-known singles. It's a dangerously catchy pop song that has a sort of airy/dreamy sound to it (blah, don't know how to describe it). Still one of my favourites.

File: Passion
Artist: Utada Hikaru
Format/size: MP3, 4.21 MB
Genre: Contemporary pop

Comments: This is Utada's new single, which will be featured as the theme for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts II. As much as I do love this song, I think the general consensus is that it doesn't measure up to its "predecessor" Simple and Clean (which was the theme for Kingdom Hearts I). I suppose I'd have to agree, although I must admit that Passion is definitely one of those songs that grows on a person. It's still a really lovely single, with a very new and refreshing sound.

Complimentary Clips
File: [LIVE] Silent Night (24-12-2001)
Artist: Gackt & Ayumi Hamasaki
Format/size: MPG, 35.8 MB
Genre: Christmas carol!

Comments: Christmas decorations and advertisements are being put up everywhere now, so I thought I should upload something Christmas-ey for this week's rotation. :3 This is an old live of one of Gackt and Ayumi's Christmas duets that was broadcasted on Christmas Eve on some jumbotron in Japan in some place that looks sort of like Times Square in New York. (Yeah, okay, I have no clue where. Anybody know?) Even though their combined Engrish is sometimes a little hard on the ears, they harmonize pretty well together. XD

Files: [MV] Anyclub ft. Eric Mun - PART I | PART II
Artist: Lee Hyori
Format/size: WMV, 27.3 MB (PART I), 24.9 MB (PART II)
Genre: Pop, dance

Comments: The sequel to Hyori and Eric's Anymotion. This music video comes in two parts and the total duration is around 12 or 13 minutes. I totally love it. It's a bit of a mini-drama that centres around Hyori and Eric.

File: [PV] Passion
Artist: Utada Hikaru
Format/size: MPG, 39.0 MB
Genre: Contemporary pop

Comments: The PV for Utada's new single, Passion. I really love this PV; it's so surreal. They incorporated anime with scenes of Hikki in some very beautiful and ethereal settings. It really suits the song very well.
