Port Charles and My Friday Night Line-Up

Here's a link to how a handful of Port Charles cast members wanted the show to end, thanks to the always interesting rebeccastaabfan. I liked Erin Hershey Presley's comment the most.

"I'm not sure if it would be my ending or a number of characters' endings but we always said it would be a good idea for someone to wake up from a coma and say, 'Oh my God, I had this terrible nightmare that...'Bll of the friends and family was there saying that it was a hallucination. And when they would all leave the room, have Caleb come out and go... [She laughs in a sinister way] and then close the door. And fade to black -- so you never really know if it was true or not. I think Brian Gaskill came up with that, and I stole it from him." -- Erin Hershey Presley

I think that would be awesome. Too bad they can't go back and just film that one episode.

Actually, I had wanted the ending to be that Caleb somehow wished he had never returned (or come in the first place) and that Livvie was back (or still) with Jack. Not that I wanted her with Jack; I just thought it would be a tragic yet heroic ending if Caleb realized that she was better off without him and wanted the best for his true love. I guess it would have to be that he had never come back, though, because I wouldn't have wanted it that Rafe had never come to Port Charles.

Whatever. I guess it doesn't matter now. I'm glad we were able to enjoy Port Charles for as long as it was on the air, even if I wish it had been able to continue for years to come.

Now, because you all know how much I look like Halle Barry:

Thanks to angelialove:

"Raisingirl99" Halle Berry plays Raisingirl99, who is brokenhearted after being stood up at her wedding. She meets Christina (Famke Jannsen), who gives her an offer she couldn't refuse. She has an affair with Christina's assistant Ronnie, played by Shane West. Ronnie dies of cancer, and the doctor, Chris (Ben Affleck), helps Raisingirl99 get over the pain.

I watched (and loved) Joan of Arcadia, Hope & Faith, and Life With Bonnie last night.

I thought Hope & Faith was much better than last week's (not that it was dreadful last week, though). The funeral scene was hilarious. I am loving Kelly Ripa in this! Her little outburst about being the lady's illegitimate love child with Frank Sinatra was great. As a daytime television viewer, I love the soap references, too. Being married five times, courtroom outbursts, shocking secrets... come on, we've seen it all. All the time. *g* Anyway, I think I'm going to like having this show on Fridays as a silly release to the stress of the past week.

Joan of Arcadia was wonderful, but I think I liked last week's episode better. I guess I wish the focus was more on Joan. Or Joan's older brother. Either brother, really. Basically, I don't particularly care for the "adult" plotlines. It's a reaction I've had in the past, to shows like My So-Called Life and Dawson's Creek. (That's why it's so odd that the O.C. is the complete opposite. It's the teens, except for Seth, who tend to bore me, while I'm all caught up in the parents' storylines.)

Bottom line, though? I love Joan of Arcadia. I'm psyched it did well last week in the ratings, and I hope it did great last night, too.

Well, I'm off to read a little fan fic and then (eventually) get started on my homework. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

hope & faith, dawson's creek, life with bonnie, frank sinatra, my so-called life, brian gaskill, erin hershey presley, fic, kelly ripa, halle barry, that's so raven, port charles, the oc, joan of arcadia
