1. You will never love her--the way you love me. I just hope you realize that--before it's too late.

4. He tells me that if I leave--I'll want to come back. But I don't think he realizes how unhappy and inadequate he makes me feel sometimes. I blame "her" for that . . .

6. I was sitting at my desk on Wednesday--working on some documenation for a case I was assigned--when "it" hit me (I'll explain what "it" is later--just keep reading). For those of you who don't know, my office is next to the visitation room--so I get to hear everything that goes on (every cry, laugh, scream, etc). Well, for the first time since I've worked at DFCS, I completely stopped what I was doing--became still--and just listened. And, then that "it" hit me: Could you imagine only seeing your parents for 1 day out of the year? For the average child in foster care, they get two 1-hour visits a month (12 months x 2 hours=24 hours)--that equals only 1 day out of a year. I bet you never thought about it like that before, huh? I know I didn't.
7. In a perfect world . . .
8. If it can happen to her--why can't it happen to me? Life is so messed up sometimes.
9. My verse for the week: "Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23
10. "Just because it comes in your size--doesn't mean you have to buy it." --Andrea (on fat women & bathing suits)
11. I hate fingerprint cards--especially when people screw them up--and expect you to fix their problem. Errr! Oh, and btw, you take that $350 for that HE and shove it up your . . .
