this is weird...

This morning on LiveJournal I saw a new post on sf_with_bite reviewing The City of the Living Dead, an old science fiction story from 1930 about virtual reality. Figuring it's out of copyright, I quickly find the ebook.

Plug in my ebook reader, decide to check the documents directory since some new ebooks aren't showing up on the main page. At the bottom of the directory listing is The City of the Living Dead. It's been mouldering away since 2012!

How odd, an obscure story from 1930 crossed my radar years ago. Once I'm done with Something Coming Through, I'll read this tale.

In a similar vein, I've been noticing the number 619 (it's prime!) a lot. One of my important documents uses the number. When I drove to Jakes Branch for a star party, I discovered I was driving on County Road 619. There was another instance that registered, but I don't remember the particulars. Coming up in 6 days is 6/19.

If nothing happens, 1077 days until the beginning of June 2019.

But who's counting anyway?

science.fiction, the.city.of.the.living.dead, synchromysticism, 619
