Boo!
Ha ha ha. Scared you.
I decided today I'm going to spend a chunk of june on the road, I have two comic book shows back east I want to do, a week apart, so instead of flying there and back and there and back, I'm going to stay and see if I can set up some various booksigning cartooning class fun inbetween. Plus, my friend joe lives nearby too, and I haven't seen him for a while, so sounds like a plan!
Also! in a couple days, I'm gonna go see the red elvises in concert, that's gonna be alot of fun. I discovered them a couple months ago, they've quickly become my new favorite band. Russian Surf Music
chock fulla rockenrol.

I think I'm going by myself, I really need some local friends who don't live inside the internet. I had come good mates in high schoool, and plenty of cartooning colleagues who's company I enjoy, but only meet a couple times a year. Nobody local who I can just go do stuff with. Sadness. Oh well. I've got some scholarship money floating around. methinks some interesting arty classes to take is the answer, meet some new people.
And then on monday, I have a root canal, because of teethy problem sadness, and tuesday I have to give a speech! So here's hoping I recover really quickly! Then there's the La Times Festival of books, which is always nice. Hoping to do a big free cartooning class on the stage, but they haven't gotten back to me yet, so doubtful. Then the next week is Free Comic Book Day, I'm gonna be at Brave New World in Santa Clarita giving out samplers and generally having a swelligant time.
also, did I mention me and Rhianna, who I have oft mentioned in a girlfriendly direction, are no longer dating? We met up in hawaii for her birthday/valentines day, and while we had alot of wandering around holiday fun, after two weeksw, some problems came to the fore, wew hurt each others feelings alot, and we're trying to down shift back to friendship status to stay sane. We're both dissapointed the other person didn't turn out to be what we wanted, but intellectually, we have so much in common we're not gonna let a little thing like this come between us.
I just finished reading 'A Game Called Murder" a mystery novel starring oscar wilde and arthur conan doyle. Perfect blend of drama, humor, wit, intrigue and cozyness. Harry Potteresque in that respect, where you just want to live there.
I'm a member of kidjutsu.com, a free kids comics site, and they create these really cool embeddable readers to read comics with. Looky here!
http://www.kidjutsu.com/comic/lookit-1-0 I just did a VERY cool Rocky & Bullwinkle themed drawing for the comic con souvenir booklit, cross your fingers the pick it (how could they not? But still.)
Also, I just had my first calzone. I am now in favor of calzones.
And those are all of the current things happening in raymond town! Aren't you glad to know what's on my mind?
