SLC and Register
Student loans can go hang. Except not.
I am on a new course. I need to apply for a loan. Birmingham LEA sends me form. I fill in form, hand in. turns out it's wrong form at wrong time to wrong department. My application is now late.
I try to apply to SLC online. I cannot log on, I have to call them.
I cannot speak to them because I do not have the secret answer, and my telephone number which I have had for 5 years is not the same as the one they have for me. I ask for new secret answer.
This is posted to me, I call them, they wibble about me not being able to log on, so I ask for a form. They send me a form, I fill in the form and return It about 6-8 weeks late. I receive no conformation of them receiving it.
News: Last week: Student loans most busiest ever. On time forms will be dealy with on time. Late forms?? Fuck knows!! Why is my form so late?? Cos I was buggered about!
I need student support number to register with uni. My course starts on monday. I have no idea if the student support number is different to previously. I may just chance the old one so I can at least register.
I have my client account number, (which used to be called my "ART ID") on my phone. But that's not the one that matters, that's like a little your ref box, except they make it up for you and then don't use it to communicate with any other institution.
Stupid bureaucracy.
