While I'm trying to wrangle my brain into something approximating inspiration...

'Boots and I made a drinking game out of the first three Transformers episodes. >D

Take a shot:
Animation/voice error - this one alone would be enough to get you drunk.
Spike does something ill-advised
Human wearing a hard hat/rubber boots
Flying Autobots
Soundwave shows concern over his cassettes
Mirage smiles
Prime says something sexy
Prime gets knocked down

Finish your drink:
Hauler's only appearance
Optimus's axe and Megatron's mace
Ravage's only spoken line in the whole series
Roller & Deck's appearance
Spike does something smart
Prime loses his temper
Mirage is the hero!

Fic notes:
I'm sure I've been guilty of making this mistake myself, but the spaceship that becomes the Cons' underwater HQ is not the Nemesis, but a new ship they built over the course of MTMTE. The Nemesis is the ship they followed the Ark on, abandoned when they attacked the Ark, and crash-landed somewhere else entirely. It's found in Microbots. ...I wonder if any Decepticons were left behind on the Nemesis. A big warship like that is too valuable to leave completely unattended, I'd think...

Starscream is far less - er - Starscream here than in later episodes. He actively seeks Megatron's approval (and doesn't get it). He goes with Megatron's plan instead of trying to undermine it. And I think the bit where he backshoots Megs and Megs returns fire is the only time we see him actively groveling. I guess living underwater is slowly driving him 'round the bend? Or living in close quarters with Megatron, that'd do it to anybody. On a related yet strangely opposite note, when Starscream threatens Megatron aboard the space cruiser, Megatron responds by giving Starscream leadership advice. (Well, Decepticon leadership advice. "Watch out for backstabbing traitors like yourself." 'Cons, sheesh.) So their Facebook relationship status is Way Damn Complicated.

Jazz seems to act as Prime's 2iC here, not Ironhide or Prowl.

The bit where Ironhide gets hurt and Optimus is all affectionate towards him = insta-ship. I mean, really. <3 ...Of course, the moment where he tells Jazz "I'll be back" right before blasting off after Megatron is pretty damn shippy too.

I count at least two nameless lavender Seekers among the Decepticons. OC fodder!

Optimus tells Ironhide the Decepticons are 'too fast for us in the air' - so even when the Autobots can fly, they're not on the 'Cons' level.

At the end of the series, the Autobots appear ready to return to Cybertron in the Ark. Wonder what happened to that plan.

To me, the bit near the end where Prime loses his cool a bit is actually one of the more touching scenes. He feels like he's just lost the war and it's himself he's really mad at, but instead he yells at the bots fussing over him. It's proof that Optimus does have flaws. ...And Sparkplug is sweet to him regardless. <3
