Dreams, memes and an announcement.
Firstly: the Internet seems convinced that today is my birthday. The Internet is mistaken. (I know, shocking. Inaccuracy? On the Intarwebs?) My actual birthday is the first of November. Plan accordingly.
Second: I dreamed I was a barbarian princess who crafted a sword, which was then imbued with the spirit and/or fighting prowess of my late father. This sufficiently impressed the other chiefs that I was given a leadership role in their military campaigns, which only increased when I won a decisive military victory in a very Final Fantasy Tactics-esque scene. (Bows figured heavily into my victory, for the curious.) This all lasted until a) the enemy came up with bigger, better war chariots, and b) I foolishly put on a pair of Very Girly Shoes. Delicate silver high heels with bead detail, for the curious. It was really more like jewelry with a stiletto heel than anything meant for walking. I was wearing those when the Other Barbarians attacked, and, well.
So this really only confirms that I should stick to flats. You never know when you're going to need to flee the invading Huns.
