[The letter had made him worried and since getting it he hadn't left the house. Yet, at the same time he wanted to flee from it. What if someone came after him? What if they were really strong? He was hearing so many things over the phone, so many people were already dying.... If he stayed home wouldn't he just endanger Rorona and Flay? Yet he didn

Yeah, you're right! We're helpless right now, sure. But if playing into their hands is the only way to beat them, then I'd rather die. The Defender of Justice doesn't stand idly by just because he can't beat someone! He trains, hones his skills, and works toward the day when he'll finally defeat his arch-nemesis! I hope you haven't forgotten what I taught you, Number Two; I know you're stronger than that.
[Needless to say, he doesn't back off. He doesn't move to attack, either, even given the blatant threat Pokey's just dropped on him, though he does crack his knuckles.]
If you're gonna try to kill me, go ahead. But don't think I'm gonna go down easy! I won't kill you, but I'm not sitting back and letting Vayne die when I could have done something. [Especially not when Vayne being alive is, unbeknownst to them all, his last bastion of provable sanity.]
So, what'll it be? You gonna reach down into your soul and find the fire of justice there, or am I gonna have to beat it into you?!

I'm sorry. You probably don't deserve this.
[And then, he'll turn to his mech.]
KILL THEM!
[And the mech will, slowly, start to turn around again to face Flay and Vayne.]

When Pokey yells he looks up towards the now moving mech. It really was all pointless wasn't it? It really didn't matter at all, but....]
Senpai look out!

[He's not blind or deaf, of course. The mech's movements are slow enough that he has time to slide back into a better stance.]
Vayne, stay back! I'm the Duke of Destruction, remember? Nothin' this simple's enough to take me.
[That, of course, is with his gearsword... but Pokey doesn't need to know that. Just like he doesn't need to know that this is going to hurt like hell when he does something stupid in a moment. Like punching at the machine with his bare fist.
Still, he'll put as much force behind the punch as possible, hoping to end this as quickly as he can; hopefully, Pokey will give up before the likely broken limbs start to cause him actual trouble.]

Right.
The punches don't really hurt the machine, though it backs off a little before trying to take a swing at Flay with one of its legs.
And while Flay is distracted, Pokey will take out the small pocket knife he has in his pocket and try to rush behind Flay while the bigger man is distracted. Maybe, if he tries to stab you in the back....even with a knife that small...it'll be enough of a distraction to honestly get a killing blow in.]

He stooped down in the yard looking for something, anything he could use. He found a rock, he threw the rock toward Pokey in haste.]

Regardless of whether it hits Pokey on its hasty arc, the rock will make enough noise to turn Flay's attention back to them, confusion on his face. He might still take a stab, but it won't be a nice, tidy one.]

[If Vayne chooses not to get out of the way, Flay will be a bit disappointed... but he'll also be on his way to grabbing the kid by the back. Josephine is temporarily completely forgotten in favor of protecting Vayne - normally, Flay would have every confidence in his classmate, but he's already fighting off flashes of hallucinations as it is.]

Staying low, he darts out from behind the car and races toward the mech where he crouches close beside it. From here, he can see Pokey and Flay if he peers around Josephine but he can't see Vayne. Hopefully, it means Vayne can't see him either.]

[Flailing doesn't do much against the larger opponent, and he frowns a bit. In spite of his words, he's actually still holding back a lot. He doesn't know Pokey well enough to have a damn clue what the kid's thinking, or how he normally acts.]
I don't want to hurt you, but I will if I have to. If you just give up on this, we can all walk away and there'll be no problems. [This one really is his last warning, though. Flay won't take a life, but he'll sure as hell knock Pokey unconscious if he has to.]

[Yep. Still trying to stab you, Flay.]
