[Vayne was surprised when he had gotten a package, he wasn't expecting anything, and at first was afraid it might be something he didn't want. But, upon opening it he discovered it was the one thing he really did want, and want badly. It was the one thing he really enjoyed and felt right doing, it was his alchemy. But, Mayfield was not his home, and did not have most of the common materials that were used in the recipes he knew. Despite this he wanted to try and make something, even if it meant trying to find substitutes. He wanted to do something if simply to distract him from all the horribleness of the last several weeks.
Sadly, most of his attempts were not very good. His mistakes he placed outside on the lawn, and the few things that worked out to something he placed on the porch. What he did succeed in making was his schools basic uniform, as well as some ingots of iron and bronze and one of gold. The unsuccessful attempts were burnt food, charred lumps that were unidentifiable and tattered pieces of paper. The paper had a dull sense of mana about it. He had been trying to make Holy Crest Paper but it didn't work out.
All day he's pretty much at this, going in and out with either successful item or unsuccessful trash.]
